Translation · EN

13619 - From Qatadah regarding His statement: "If We had intended to take a diversion," he said: Diversion (lahw) in the language of the people of Yemen is a woman. And regarding His statement: "We would have taken it from Us, if We were to do so," meaning: That would not happen, nor is it appropriate.

13620 - From Ibrahim al-Nakha'i regarding His statement: "If We had intended to take a diversion," he said: Women. "We would have taken it from Us," he said: From among the Houris (fair-skinned, beautiful women of Paradise).

13621 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His statement: "If We had intended to take a diversion," he said: Play.

13622 - From Mujahid regarding His statement: "We would have taken it from Us," he said: From Our own presence. "If We were to do so," meaning: We would not have done so. He says: And We did not create a Paradise, nor a Fire, nor death, nor resurrection, nor a reckoning. And every "in" (in) in the Quran is a denial.

The Statement of the Exalted: "Rather, We dash the truth against falsehood, and it destroys it..."

13623 - From Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His statement: "Rather, We dash the truth," he said: The Quran, "against falsehood," he said: The confusion. "And behold, it is departing," he said: Perishing.

13624 - From al-Hasan, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His statement: "And for you is destruction from that which you describe," he said: By Allah, it is a description of lies until the Day of Resurrection.

The Statement of the Exalted: "And those who are near Him are not too proud to worship Him, nor do they weary."

13625 - From Qatadah regarding His statement: "And those who are near Him," he said: The angels.

13626 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His statement: "Nor do they weary (yastahsirun)," he says: They do not turn back.

13627 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His statement: "Nor do they weary," he said: They do not become exhausted.

13628 - From al-Suddi, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His statement: "Nor do they weary," he said: They do not grow tired.

13629 - From al-Suddi regarding His statement: "Nor do they weary," he said: They do not cease from worship.
