until the Day of Resurrection." That is His saying to the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Do you not know that Allah knows what is in the heaven and the earth?" meaning what is in the seven heavens and the seven earths. "Indeed, that is in a Book," meaning in the Preserved Tablet, written before He created the heavens and the earths. "Indeed, that is easy for Allah," meaning simple (1).
14023 - From Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him), from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "they almost seize," he said: they fall upon them (2).
14024 - From Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding "they almost seize," he said: The disbelievers of Quraysh fall upon them (3).
14025 - From al-Suddi (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "they can never create a fly," he said: The idol does not create a fly. "And if the fly should steal away from them a thing," he says: Food is placed for the idols, and the fly lands on it and eats from it, and it [the idol] is not able to rescue it from it. Then he returned to the people and the idols: "Weak is the seeker and the sought." The one who seeks from this idol, which does not create a fly, and cannot rescue what is stolen from it; and the sought is weak, which does not create a fly and does not rescue what is stolen from it (4).
14026 - From Ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal," he said: When they worship alongside Allah that which cannot even get justice against a fly (5).
14027 - From al-Suddi (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the verse, he said: The one whom He chooses from among the people are the Prophets (peace and blessings be upon them) (6).
14028 - From Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "O you who have believed, bow," he said: It is only [a matter of] etiquette and admonition (7).
14029 - From al-Dahhak (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him," he said: Strive against the enemy of Allah until they enter into Islam (8).

إِلَى يَوْم الْقِيَامَة، فذلك قوله للنبي صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاء وَالأَرْضِ يَعْنِي مَا في السموات السبع والأرضين السبع إِنَّ ذَلِكَ العلم في كتاب يَعْنِي في اللوح المحفوظ مكتوب قبل إِنَّ يخلق السموات والأرضين إِنَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يسير يعني هين «١» .
١٤٠٢٣ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، فِي قَوْلِهِ: يكادون يسطون يبطئون «٢» .
١٤٠٢٤ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ، عَنْهُ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ قَالَ: يبطئون كفار قريش «٣» .
١٤٠٢٥ - عَنِ السُّدِّىِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ، عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: لَنْ يَخْلُقُوا ذُبَابًا يَعْنِي الصنم لا يخلق ذبابًا وَإِنْ يَسْلُبْهُمُ الذُّبَابُ شَيْئًا يَقُولُ: يجعل للأصنام طعام، فيقع عليه الذباب، فيأكل منه فلا يستطيع إِنَّ يستنقذه منه، ثُمَّ رجع إِلَى الناس وإلى الأصنام ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ الّذِي يطلب إِلَى هَذَا الصنم، الّذِي لا يخلق ذبابًا، ولا يستطيع إِنَّ يستنقذ مَا سلب منه وضعف الْمَطْلُوبُ إليه الّذِي لا يخلق ذبابًا ولا يستنقذ مَا سلب منه «٤» .
١٤٠٢٦ - عَنِ ابْنِ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ، عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ قَالَ:
حين يعبدون مع الله ما لا ينتصف مِنَ الذباب «٥» .
١٤٠٢٧ - عَنِ السُّدِّىِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ، عَنْهُ فِي الْآيَةِ قَالَ: الّذِي يَصْطَفِي مِنَ الناس هم الأَنْبِيَاء عَلَيْهِمْ الصَّلاةُ وَالسَّلامُ «٦» .
١٤٠٢٨ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ، عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: يا أيها الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ارْكَعُوا قَالَ: إنما هي أدب وموعظة «٧» .
١٤٠٢٩ - عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ رَضِيَ اللهُ، عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَجَاهِدُوا فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ قَالَ: جاهدوا عدوّ الله حتى يدخلوا في الإسلام «٨» .
