Translation · EN

is unable, then the feeding of a needy person for every day. And He granted a concession in Hajj if one does not find provision or transport, or is prevented from it. And He granted a concession in Jihad if one does not find transport or funds. And He granted, at the time of extremity and necessity of hunger, a concession in [eating] carrion, blood, and swine flesh to the extent that one may keep himself alive, so that he does not die of hunger; and in things similar to this in the Qur'an. Allah has made it expansive for this nation as a concession from Him which He has bestowed upon them (1).

14037 - From al-Suddi regarding His saying: "The religion of your father Abraham," he said: The religion of your father (2).

14038 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "He named you the Muslims before," he said: Allah (Mighty and Majestic is He) named you (3).

14039 - From Mujahid regarding His saying: "He named you the Muslims," he said: Allah (Mighty and Majestic is He) named you the Muslims before. He said: [In] all the books, and in the Remembrance (Dhikr), and in this, he said: The Qur'an (4).

14040 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "He named you," he said: Allah named you the Muslims before and in this, meaning in your Book, "that the Messenger may be a witness over you," that he has delivered the message to you, "and you may be witnesses over the people," that their messengers have delivered it to them (5).

14041 - From Ibn Zayd regarding the verse, he said: Allah did not mention any nation by Islam and Faith other than this nation; it was mentioned by both together, and no nation was heard of that was mentioned by Islam and Faith other than it (6).

14042 - From Ibn Zayd regarding His saying: "He named you the Muslims," he said: Abraham. Do you not see His saying: "Our Lord, and make us Muslims to You" [the entire verse] (7).

يطق فإطعام مسكين مكان كُلّ يَوْم، وجعل في الحج رخصة، إِنَّ لَمْ يجد زادًا أو حملانًا أو حبس دونه، وجعل في الجهاد رخصة، إِنَّ لَمْ يجد حملانًا أو نفقة، وجعل، عند الجهد والاضطرار مِنَ الجوع: إِنَّ رخص في الميتة والدم ولحم الخنزير قدر مَا يرد نفسه، لا يموت جوعًا، في أشباه هَذَا في القرآن، وسعه الله عَلَى هذه الأمة رخصة منه ساقها إِلَيْهِمْ «١» .

١٤٠٣٧ - عَنِ السُّدِّىِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مِلَّة أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ: دين أبيكم «٢» .

١٤٠٣٨ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ مِنْ قَبْلُ قَالَ: الله عز وجل: سَمَّاكُمُ «٣» .

١٤٠٣٩ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ قَالَ الله عز وجل سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ مِنْ قَبْلُ قَالَ: الكتب كلها وفي الذكر وفي هَذَا قَالَ القرآن «٤» .

١٤٠٤٠ - عَنْ قَتَادَة فِي قَوْلِهِ: هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ قَالَ: الله سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَفِي هَذَا أي في كتابكم لِيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ أنه قد بلغكم وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ إِنَّ رسلهم قد بلغتهم «٥» .

١٤٠٤١ - عَنِ ابْنِ زَيْدٍ في الآية قَالَ: لَمْ يذكر الله بالإسلام والإيمان غير هذه الأمة، ذكرت بهما جميعًا، ولم يسمع بأمة ذكرت بالإسلام والإيمان غيرها «٦» .

١٤٠٤٢ - عَنِ ابْنِ زَيْدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ قَالَ إبراهيم: ألا ترى إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: رَبُّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ الآية كلها «٧» .
