His saying: "Therein and do not speak to Me."
14047 - My father narrated to us, 'Abdah ibn Sulayman al-Marwazi narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu Ayyub 'Abd Allah ibn 'Amr, who said: "The people of Hell will call out to Malik, but he will not answer them for forty years. Then he will reply to them: 'Indeed, you are remaining.'" He said: "Their call, by Allah, was despised by Malik and by the Lord of Malik. Then they will call upon their Lord and say: 'Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a misguided people. Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we return, then indeed we would be wrongdoers.'" He said: "So He will remain silent toward them for the duration of the life of this world twice over. Then He will reply to them: 'Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.'" He said: "By Allah, the people did not utter a single word after that; there was nothing but wailing and moaning in the Fire of Hell." He said: "Their voices were likened to the voices of donkeys, the beginning of which is a wail and the end of which is a moan."(1)
14048 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd informed us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my uncle narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me," he said: "This is the word of the Most Merciful when their speech to Him has been severed."
14049 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn 'Isa al-Kala'i narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn Sa'd, regarding the saying of Allah: "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me," he said: "They will be sealed upon, and nothing will be heard therein except something like the ringing of a 'tast' [a metal basin]."(2)
His saying: "Indeed, there was a party of My servants"
14050 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah: "A party [fariq]," meaning: A group [ta'ifah].
His saying: "Who would say, 'Our Lord, we have believed'"
14051 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "Believed [amana]," meaning: They affirmed the oneness of Allah (the Almighty and Majestic).
His saying: "So forgive us and have mercy upon us"

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فِيهَا وَلا تُكَلِّمُونِ
١٤٠٤٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا بن المبارك، ثنا سعيد ابن أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: [إِنَّ أَهْلَ جَهَنَّمَ يَدْعُونَ مَالِكًا، فَلا يُجِيبُهُمْ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا ثُمَّ يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ: إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ، قَالَ: هَانَتْ دَعْوَتُهُمْ وَاللَّهِ عَلَى مَالِكٍ وَرَبِّ مَالِكٍ. ثُمَّ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَالِمُونَ قَالَ: فَيَسْكُتُ، عَنْهُمْ قَدْرَ الدُّنْيَا مَرَّتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ يرد عليهم اخسؤا فِيهَا وَلا تُكَلِّمُونِ قَالَ: وَاللَّهِ مَا نَبَسَ الْقَوْمُ بَعْدَهَا بِكَلِمَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، وَمَا هُوَ إِلا الزَّفِيرُ وَالشَّهِيقُ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ. قَالَ: فَشُبِّهَتْ أَصْوَاتُهُمْ بِأَصْوَاتِ الْحَمِيرِ أَوَّلُهَا زَفِيرٌ وَآخِرُهَا شَهِيقٌ] «١» .
١٤٠٤٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا عَمِّي حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ ابن عباس اخسؤا فِيهَا وَلا تُكَلِّمُونِ قَالَ: هَذَا قَوْلُ الرَّحْمَنِ حِينَ انْقَطَعَ كَلامُهُمْ مِنْهُ.
١٤٠٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدٌ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ثنا عبد الله ابن عِيسَى الْكَلاعِيُّ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ فِي قول الله: اخسؤا فِيهَا وَلا تُكَلِّمُونِ قَالَ:
فَيُطْبَقُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلا يُسْمَعُ فِيهَا إِلا مِثْلُ طَنِينِ «الطَّسْتِ» «٢» .
قَوْلُهُ تعالى: إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِنْ عِبَادِي
١٤٠٥٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: فَرِيقٌ يًعْنِى: طَائِفَةً.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا
