14059 - My father narrated to us, Hisham ibn Khalid narrated to us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Indeed, it is they who are the successful," meaning: the ones saved from the Fire to Paradise, and from the punishment of Allah to His mercy.
His saying: "He will say: How long did you stay on the earth in number of years?"
14060 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Wazir narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, from Ayfa' ibn 'Abd al-Kala'i that he heard him addressing the people, and he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When Allah has entered the people of Paradise into Paradise and the people of the Fire into the Fire, He will say: 'O people of Paradise, how long did you stay on the earth in number of years?' They will say: 'We stayed a day or part of a day.' He will say: 'Excellent is the bargain you made in a day or part of a day; My mercy, My pleasure, and My Paradise, remain therein eternally.' Then He will say: 'O people of the Fire, how long did you stay on the earth in number of years?' They will say: 'We stayed a day or part of a day.' He will say: 'Evil is the bargain you made in a day or part of a day; My Fire and My wrath, remain therein eternally, dwelling forever.'"
His saying: "They will say: We stayed a day or part of a day."

14062 - 'Ali ibn Harb al-Mawsili narrated to us, Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn Za'id narrated to us, from Zayd al-Nahwi, from 'Ikrimah regarding "So ask those who keep account," he said: "Those who calculate."
14063 - My father narrated to us, Sa'd ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from Qatadah regarding "So ask those who keep account," he said: "So ask the accountants."

١٤٠٦٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَزِيرِ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ، عَنْ أَيْفَعَ ابن عَبْدٍ الْكَلاعِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَّا أَدْخَلَ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَهْلَ النَّارِ النَّارَ وَقَالَ: يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ قَالُوا: لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ. قَالَ: لَنِعْمَ مَا اتَّجَرْتُمْ فِي يَوْمٍ أَوْ بَعْضِ يَوْمٍ، رَحْمَتِي وَرِضْوَانِي وَجَنَّتِي امْكُثُوا فِيهَا خَالِدِينَ. ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: يَا أَهْلَ النَّارِ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ؟ قَالُوا: لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ. فَيَقُولُ: بِئْسَ مَا اتَّجَرْتُمْ فِي يَوْمٍ أَوْ بَعْضِ يَوْمٍ، نَارِي وَسُخْطِي امْكُثُوا فِيهَا خَالِدِينَ مُخَلَّدِينَ.

١٤٠٦٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، ثنا زَيْدُ بن الحباب، ثنا الحسين بن زائد، عن، زيد النحوي، عن عكرمة فسئل الْعَادِّينَ قَالَ: الَّذِينَ يَحْسِبُونَ.
١٤٠٦٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عن معمر، عن قتادة فسئل العادين قال: [فسئل الحساب.] «١»
