His saying: "A Surah which We have sent down"
14080 - My father narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Raja' narrated to us, 'Imran Abu al-'Awwam informed us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Malih, from Wathilah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Scriptures of Ibrahim were sent down on the first night of Ramadan, the Torah was sent down after six nights of Ramadan had passed, the Gospel was sent down after thirteen nights of Ramadan had passed, the Psalms were sent down on the eighteenth of Ramadan, and the Quran was sent down after twenty-four nights of Ramadan had passed." (1)
His saying: "And made it obligatory"
14081 - Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from al-Husayn ibn Waqid, from 'Abd al-Karim Abu Umayyah, from Mujahid, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "A Surah which We have sent down and made it obligatory," he said: "And We have made it clear." It was narrated from al-A'raj, Muqatil ibn Hayyan, and Qatadah in one of the narrations, similar to this.
14082 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid (2).
His saying: "And made it obligatory" — the command regarding the lawful and the prohibition regarding the unlawful.
14083 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "A Surah which We have sent down and made it obligatory," Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, made obligatory therein His ordinances, rendered lawful what is lawful, prohibited what is unlawful, defined His limits, commanded obedience to Him, and forbade disobedience to Him.
14084 - Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Ahmad ibn al-Sabah narrated to us, al-Khaffaf informed us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan and Harun, from al-Hasan: "And made it obligatory," [meaning] easily. Harun added from al-Hasan, he said: "He made the Quran obligatory upon you."

قوله تعالى: سُورَةٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهَا
١٤٠٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ أنبأ عِمْرَانُ أَبُو الْعَوَّامِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، إِنَّ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: نَزَلَتْ صُحُفُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي أَوَّلِ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَأُنْزِلَتِ التَّوْرَاةُ لِسِتٍّ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَأُنْزِلَ الإِنْجِيلَ لِثَلاثَ عَشْرَةَ خَلَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَأَنْزَلَ الزَّبُورُ لِثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَأَنْزَلَ الْقُرْآنَ لأَرْبَعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ خَلَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ «١» .
قَوْلُهُ: فَرَضْنَاهَا.
١٤٠٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ:
سُورَةٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهَا وَفَرَضْنَاهَا قَالَ: وَبَيَّنَّاهَا، وَرُوِِىِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، وَمُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، وَقَتَادَةَ فِي إِحْدَى الرِّوَايَاتِ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
١٤٠٨٢ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «٢»
قوله: وَفَرَضْنَاهَا الأَمْرُ بِالْحَلالِ وَالنَّهْيُ، عَنِ الْحَرَامِ.
١٤٠٨٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قتادة قوله: سُورَةٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهَا وَفَرَضْنَاهَا فَرَضَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيهَا فَرَائِضَهُ، وَأَحَلَّ حَلالَهُ، وَحَرَّمَ حَرَامَهُ، وَحَّدَ حُدُودَهُ، وَأَمَرَ بِطَاعَتِهِ، وَنَهَى عَنْ مَعْصِيَتِهِ.
١٤٠٨٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أنبأ الْخَفَّافُ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَهَارُونَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ: وَفَرَضْنَاهَا خَفِيفَةً، زَادَ هَارُونُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: فَرَضَ عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ.
