14099 - My father narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi informed us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan regarding His saying: "And do not let pity for them hold you in the religion of Allah," he said: "The severe flogging."
14100 - 'Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Musaddad narrated to us, Khalid narrated to us, 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib narrated to us, from 'Amir, [regarding] His saying: "And do not let pity for them hold you," he said: "[Do not have] mercy in the severity of the lashing."
14101 - 'Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, Musaddad narrated to us, Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj, from 'Ata' regarding His saying: "And do not let pity for them hold you in the religion of Allah," he said: "Meaning in establishing the legal punishment, that there is no suspension; as for the striking, it is a strike that is not meant to cause extreme distress (tabrih)."
14102 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ja'far Ghundar narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Hammad, he said: "The one who makes a false accusation of adultery (qadhif) is lashed while wearing his clothes, but the fornicator has his clothes removed." He then recited: "And do not let pity for them hold you." I asked: "Is this regarding the judgment?" He replied: "It is like this in the judgment and the lashing."
14103 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah: "And do not let pity for them hold you in the religion of Allah," meaning: in the judgment of Allah which He has decreed upon the fornicator.
His saying: "If you."
14104 - Musa ibn Abi Musa al-Khatmi narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, from Asbat ibn Nasr, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying:
"If" [he said]: "Whatever exists in the Qur'an as 'in' (if) with a kasrah under the alif, then it has not happened."
His saying: "If you believe."
14105 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr [regarding] His saying: "If you [believe]," meaning: the authorities; "believe" meaning: you affirm belief in Allah, meaning: in the Oneness of Allah; "and the Last Day" meaning: and you believe in the Resurrection in which there is the recompense of deeds. "So establish the legal punishments, and let witness" meaning: let them attend; "their punishment" meaning: their flogging.
14106 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Zakariyya ibn Yahya al-Khazzaz al-Basri narrated to us, Khalid ibn al-Harith narrated to us, al-Ash'ath narrated to us, from al-Hasan regarding [the verse]: "And let a party of the believers witness their punishment," he said: "Publicly."
١٤٠٩٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَلا تَأْخُذْكُمْ بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: الْجَلْدُ الشَّدِيدُ.
١٤١٠٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْهِسِنْجَانِيُّ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا خَالِدٌ، ثنا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، قَوْلُهُ: وَلا تَأْخُذْكُمْ بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ قَالَ: رَحْمَةٌ فِي شِدَّةِ الْجَلْدِ.
١٤١٠١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةُ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَلا تَأْخُذْكُمْ بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: يَعْنِى فِي إِقَامَةِ الْحَدِّ أَنْ لَا تَعْطِيلَ، فَأَمَّا الضَّرْبُ فَضَرْبٌ لَيْسَ بِالتَّبْرِيحِ.
١٤١٠٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ غُنْدَرٌ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ: يُجْلَدُ الْقَاذِفُ وَعَلَيْهِ ثِيَابُهُ وَالزَّانِي يُخْلَعُ ثِيَابُهُ، وَتَلا وَلا تَأْخُذْكُمْ بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فَقُلْتُ: هَذَا فِي الْحُكْمِ، فَقَالَ: هَكَذَا فِي الْحُكْمِ وَالْجَلْدِ.
١٤١٠٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَلا تَأْخُذْكُمْ بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ يًعْنِى فِي حُكْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي حَكَمَ عَلَى الزَّانِي.
قَوْلُهُ: إِنْ كُنْتُمْ.
١٤١٠٤ - حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى الْخَطْمِيُّ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ عَنْ أَسْبَاطِ بْنِ نَصْرٍ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَوْلُهُ:
إِنْ قَالَ: مَا كَانَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ إِنْ بِكَسْرِ الأَلْفِ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ.
قَوْلُهُ: إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ.
١٤١٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قوله: إِنْ كُنْتُمْ يَعْنِى الْحُكَّامَ، تُؤْمِنُونَ يَعْنِى تُصَدِّقُونَ بِاللَّهِ يَعْنِى بِتَوْحِيدِ اللَّهِ، وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ يَعْنِى وَتُصَدِّقُونَ بِالْبَعْثِ الَّذِي فِيهِ جَزَاءُ الأَعْمَالِ، فَأَقِيمُوا الْحُدُودَ وَلْيَشْهَدْ يَعْنِى وَلْيَحْضُرْ، عَذَابَهُمَا يَعْنِى حَدَّهُمَا.
١٤١٠٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى الْخَزَّازُ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا الأَشْعَثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَائِفَةٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ:
