The third aspect:
14204 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "The bounty of Allah"—Islam. It was also narrated from Qatadah similar to this.
His saying: "And His mercy."
14205 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "And His mercy"—meaning His favor, that He would manifest it upon the sinner, meaning the liar among them. His saying: "And that Allah is accepting of repentance"—meaning for whoever repents. And His saying: "Wise"—meaning the ruling of the li'an (imprecation).
His saying the Exalted: "Indeed, those who brought forth the lie."
14206 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la al-Misri al-Sadafi narrated to us, from 'Abd Allah ibn Wahb, Yunus ibn Yazid informed me, from Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn Shihab, 'Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, 'Alqamah ibn Waqqas, and 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Utbah ibn Mas'ud informed me, from the narration of 'A'ishah, the wife of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), when the people of the lie said what they said to her, and Allah cleared her, and all of them narrated her story to me, and some of them were more attentive to her story than others. They claimed that 'A'ishah said: "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) would, when he intended to go on a journey, cast lots among his wives. Whichever of them her lot fell to, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) would take her with him." 'A'ishah said: "So he cast lots among us during a ghazwah (military expedition) he waged, and my lot fell to it, so I went out with the Messenger of Allah after the hijab (veil) had been ordained. I was carried in my howdah, and I was set down in it. We traveled until the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) finished from that ghazwah of his, and he returned. As we drew near to Medina on our way back, he gave the signal at night to depart. I stood up when they signaled for departure and went to relieve myself. I walked until I passed the army. When I finished my business, I came to my transport, and I touched my chest. I found that a necklace of mine made of Dhafar beads had been severed. So I returned and sought my necklace, and searching for it detained me. The group of men who were in charge of my packing arrived and carried my howdah and loaded it onto my camel that I used to ride, and they assumed I was in it—and the women at that time were light, not heavy, and flesh had not covered them; they only ate a morsel of food—so the people did not find the lightness of the howdah strange when they lifted it and loaded it."
(1). Meaning they do not become heavy.
