I create you alone, for sovereignty and eternity are not appropriate except for Me. Then I shall repeat My creation after their extinction for My judgment, and I shall gather them for My decree. On that day, My creation shall fear My punishment and My threat, and on that day, hearts shall tremble from fear of Me, feet shall stumble from awe of Me, hearts shall grow faint from the severity of My authority, and the deities shall dissociate themselves from those who worshipped them instead of Me.

His saying, the Exalted: "And who provides for you from the heaven and the earth?"

16530 - Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to us, from Layth, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Sabit, from Abu Tha'labah al-Khushani, from Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah and Mu'adh ibn Jabal, may Allah be pleased with them both, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "There shall surely be in the earth wicked people among the nation who will deem lawful the private parts, wine, and silk, and they shall be aided in that and provided for eternally until they meet Allah, the Almighty and Majestic."

His saying, the Exalted: "Is there a god with Allah?"

Its interpretation has preceded.

"Say, produce your proof." Its interpretation has preceded in Surah al-Baqarah.

16531 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far al-Razi, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding "Produce your proof," meaning: your evidence. Similar to this was narrated from Mujahid and al-Suddi.

16532 - Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd Allah ibn al-Munadi informed us in what he wrote to me, Yunus ibn Muhammad al-Mu'addib narrated to us, Shayban al-Nahwi narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding "Say, produce your proof," he said: Your evidence for that, if you are truthful.

16533 - Abu 'Abd Allah al-Tahrani informed us in what he wrote to me, Ismail ibn 'Abd al-Karim reported, 'Abd al-Samad ibn Ma'qil narrated to us that he heard Wahb ibn Munabbih saying: Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, said: "O assembly of jinn and mankind, listen to Me today and be silent for My sake. For by My Might, no wrongdoer shall pass today due to his wrongdoing, nor one who has spoken falsely against Me, nor one who has innovated regarding My majesty. So produce your proof, O you who speak falsely against Me, and you who innovate regarding My majesty, and you who take lightly the right of My glory. What is it that has deceived you concerning Me, while I am Allah, like whom there is nothing? Had I manifested Myself to the heavens, the earth, and the mountains, they would have vanished from My awe; and had I looked upon the seas, their waters would have dried up and their depths would have appeared from fear of Me; and were all of the creation to hear a single word of My speech, they would have swooned from fear of Me. So produce your proof, O you ignorant ones, that this creation has a creator other than Me, or that I have a partner, as you have claimed, in My sovereignty, or a second protector alongside Me. And for what reason did you worship them instead of Me? And for what reason did you remove them from My worship, My sovereignty, and My lordship? Woe, long woe on that day to those who showed their falsehood to be truth concerning Me, and woe, long woe on that day to those who choked off the truth with misguidance, and woe, long woe to those whose argument collapsed before Me."
