His saying (the Almighty): "You are only among those affected by magic (musahharin)."

15864 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, [saying]: Shababah narrated to us, [saying]: Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding "musahharin," [who] said: "The bewitched (al-mashurin)." A similar thing was narrated from Qatadah.

15865 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, [saying]: Shababah narrated to us, [saying]: Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding "musahharin," [who] said: "The bewitched (al-mashurin)."

His saying (the Almighty): "You are only a man like ourselves, so bring a sign if you are of the truthful."

15866 - Muhammad ibn 'Awf al-Himsi narrated to us, [saying]: Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, [saying]: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash informed us, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Uthman ibn Khuthaym, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir [who] said: When we reached al-Hijr during the campaign of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) to Tabuk, he said to us: "O people, do not ask your Prophet for signs; these were the people of Salih who asked their Prophet that Allah send them a sign, so Allah sent them the she-camel."

15867 - Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani informed me, in what he wrote to me, [saying]: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, [saying]: Isra'il informed us, from 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Rufay', from Abu al-Tufayl [who] said: Thamud said to Salih: "Bring us a sign if you are of the truthful." He said: Salih said to them: "Go out to this hillock of the land." They went out, and behold, it was moving as a pregnant woman moves, then it burst open, and from its midst the she-camel emerged. Salih said to them: "This is the she-camel of Allah as a sign for you, so leave her to eat on Allah's land."

15868 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: 'Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn Nufayl narrated to us, [saying]: Zuhayr narrated to us, [saying]: al-Hasan narrated to us [who] said: I saw the people of Salih and I saw their beards dyed with henna.

His saying (the Almighty): "This is a she-camel; she has a right to drink, and you have a right to drink on a known day."

15869 - Muhammad ibn 'Awf al-Himsi narrated to us, [saying]: Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, [saying]: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Uthman ibn Khuthaym, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir [who] said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "So Allah sent them the she-camel, and she would come from that pass, drink their water on the day of her watering, and they would milk from her the same amount that they used to drink on their off-day, and she would depart from there."

15870 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Abu al-Jumahir narrated to us, [saying]: Sa'id ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Ibn 'Abbas [who] said: When it was her day, she would provide them with as much milk as they wished."
