16646 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us: Sa'id ibn Yahya al-Umawi narrated to us: My father narrated to me: Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, from 'Ata' al-Khurasani, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "Whoever comes with a good deed, then he shall have better than it," [he says:] He shall have better than it. It was also narrated from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, al-Hasan, and Mujahid something similar.

16647 - Abu Hisham ibn Khalid al-Azraq narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb narrated to us: Zur'ah ibn Ibrahim informed me regarding the saying of Allah: "Whoever comes with a good deed, then he shall have better than it," [he said:] "There is no god but Allah" is better; there is nothing better than "There is no god but Allah." It was also narrated from 'Ikrimah something similar.

His saying, the Exalted: "And they will be secure from the terror of that Day."

16648 - It was read to Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn 'Uthman al-Dimashqi: Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb ibn Shabur narrated to us: Abu Rafi' al-Madini, Isma'il ibn Rafi', informed us, from Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi, from Abu Hurayrah, that he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, narrated to us; he said: "The martyrs are alive; with their Lord they are provided for. Allah protected them from the terror of that Day and made them secure from it."

His saying, the Exalted: "And whoever comes with an evil deed"

16649 - My father narrated to us: 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us: Yahya ibn Ayyub al-Bajali narrated to us, from Abu Zur'ah, from Abu Hurayrah regarding His saying: "And whoever comes with an evil deed," he said: Polytheism (shirk).

16650 - My father narrated to us: Abu Salih narrated to us: Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And whoever comes with an evil deed," he said: Polytheism. It was also narrated from 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud, Anas ibn Malik, Abu Wa'il, 'Ata', al-Hasan, Sa'id ibn Jubayr, 'Ikrimah, al-Nakha'i, Abu Salih, al-Zuhri, Zayd ibn Aslam, Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi, al-Suddi, Qatadah, and al-Dahhak something similar.

His saying, the Exalted: "Then their faces will be cast into the Fire. Are you being recompensed except for what you used to do?"

16651 - My father narrated to us: Abu Nasr al-Tammar narrated to us: Salam ibn Miskin narrated to us, from Abu Zilal, from Anas ibn Malik, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "A servant in Hell will call out for a thousand years: 'O Most Compassionate, O Most Beneficent!' Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will say: 'O Gabriel, go and bring Me this servant of Mine.' He will go and find the people of the Fire cast upon their faces, weeping. He will return to his Lord and inform Him. He will say: 'Go and bring Me My servant.' He will say: 'He is in such and such a place.' He will go and bring him."

١٦٦٤٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الأُمَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا لَهُ مِنْهَا خَيْرٌ- وَرُوِيَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَالْحَسَنِ وَمُجَاهِدٍ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.

١٦٦٤٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الأَزْرَقُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي زرعة ابن إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ خَيْرٌ، لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ خَيْرًا مَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ، وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَهُمْ مِنْ فَزَعٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ آمِنُونَ

١٦٦٤٨ - قُرِئَ عَلَى أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا محمد بن شعيب ابن شَابُورَ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو رَافِعٍ الْمَدِينِيُّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: الشُّهَدَاءُ هُمْ أَحْيَاءٌ، عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ، وَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ فَزَعَ ذَلِكَ وَآمَنَهُمْ مِنْهُ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ

١٦٦٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْبَجَلِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَالَ: الشِّرْكُ.

١٦٦٥٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَالَ: بِالشِّرْكِ- وَرُوِيَ، عَنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ وَأَبِي وَائِلِ وَعَطَاءٍ وَالْحَسَنِ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَعِكْرِمَةَ وَالنَّخَعِيِّ وَأَبِي صَالِحٍ وَالزُّهْرِيِّ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ وَالسُّدِّيِّ وَقَتَادَةَ وَالضَّحَّاكِ مِثْلُهُ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَكُبَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ إِلا مَا كنتم تعملون

١٦٦٥١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو نَصْرٍ التَّمَّارُ، ثنا سَلامُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ظِلالٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ عَبْدًا فِي جَهَنَّمَ يُنَادِي أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ: يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: يَا جِبْرِيلُ اذْهَبْ فَأْتِنِي بِعَبْدِي هَذَا، فَيَذْهَبُ فَيَجِدُ أَهْلَ النَّارِ مُنْكَبِّينَ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ يَبْكُونَ، فَيَرْجِعُ إِلَى رَبِّهِ فَيُخْبِرُهُ فَيَقُولُ: اذْهَبْ فَأْتِنِي بِعَبْدِي فَيَقُولُ: هو في موضع كذا وكذا، فيذهب فيجيء به،
