Translation · EN

His saying, the Exalted: "And he became in the city, fearful, anticipating."

16779 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us: 'Amr ibn Hammad narrated to us: Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding: "And he became in the city, fearful, anticipating," he said: Fearful of being caught.

16780 - Abu 'Abd Allah al-Tehrani informed us in what he wrote to me: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma'mar narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And he became in the city, fearful, anticipating."

His saying, the Exalted: "Anticipating."

16781 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Abi al-Thalj narrated to us: Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us: Asbagh ibn Zayd reported: al-Qasim ibn Abi Ayyub narrated to us: Sa'id ibn Jubayr narrated to us, from Ibn 'Abbas: "And he became in the city, fearful, anticipating" the news. Pharaoh was approached and it was said to him: "The Children of Israel have killed a man from the family of Pharaoh, so take our right for us and do not be lenient." He said: "Bring me his killer and whoever testifies against him, for a king, even if he is the elite among his people, it is not appropriate for him to execute without proof or evidence. So find out the truth of this for me, and I will take his right for you."

16782 - Abu 'Abd Allah al-Tehrani informed us in what he wrote to me: 'Abd al-Razzaq reported: Ma'mar reported, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Anticipating," meaning anticipating that the pursuit would seize him.

16783 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us: al-Nadr ibn Isma'il al-Bajali Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Anticipating," he said: Looking around. And it was narrated from al-Dahhak similarly.

His saying, the Exalted: "And behold, the one who sought his help yesterday was crying out to him."

16784 - My father narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Kathir al-'Abdi narrated to us: Sulayman ibn Kathir reported: Husayn reported, from Abu Malik, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And behold, the one who sought his help yesterday was crying out to him. Moses said to him, 'Indeed, you are a clear deviant,'" he said: It is the companion of Moses who sought his help yesterday.

16785 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us: Hafs narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from 'Ikrimah regarding "who sought his help," he said: The one who called for his help.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَأَصْبَحَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ خَائِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ

١٦٧٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ فَأَصْبَحَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ خَائِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ قَالَ: خَائِفًا أَنْ يُؤْخَذَ.

١٦٧٨٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ثنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: فَأَصْبَحَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ خَائِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يَتَرَقَّبُ

١٦٧٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الثَّلْجِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ أَصْبَغُ ابن زيد، ثنا القاسم ابن أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَأَصْبَحَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ خَائِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ الأَخْبَارَ. فَأُتِيَ فِرْعَوْنُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّ بَنِيَ إِسْرَائِيلَ قَتَلُوا رَجُلا مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ فَخُذْ لَنَا بِحَقِّنَا وَلا تُرَخِّصْ فَقَالَ: أَبْقُونِي قَاتِلَهُ وَمَنْ يَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّ الْمَلِكَ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَفْوَةً مَعَ قَوْمِهِ لَا يَسْتَقِيمُ لَهُ أَنْ يقد بِغَيْرِ بَيِّنَةٍ وَلا ثَبْتٍ، فَاطْلُبُوا لِي عِلْمَ ذَلِكَ آخُذُ لَكُمْ بِحَقِّهِ.

١٦٧٨٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: يَتَرَقَّبُ أَنْ يَأْخُذَهُ الطَّلَبُ.

١٦٧٨٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبَجَلِيُّ أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قوله: يترقب قال: يتلفت. وَرُوِيَ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَإِذَا الَّذِي اسْتَنْصَرَهُ بِالأَمْسِ يَسْتَصْرِخُهُ

١٦٧٨٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ أَنْبَأَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ أَنْبَأَ حُصَيْنٌ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَإِذَا الَّذِي اسْتَنْصَرَهُ بِالأَمْسِ يَسْتَصْرِخُهُ قَالَ لَهُ مُوسَى إِنَّكَ لَغَوِيُّ مُبِينٌ قَالَ: هُوَ صَاحِبُ مُوسَى الَّذِي اسْتَنْصَرَهُ بِالأَمْسِ.

١٦٧٨٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا حَفْصٌ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ الَّذِي اسْتَنْصَرَهُ قَالَ: الَّذِي اسْتَصْرَخَهُ.
