party of Moses, from the farthest end of the city." So he took a shortcut and arrived before them to Moses and informed him of the news.
16798 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us: 'Amr ibn Hammad narrated to us: Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, who said: Pharaoh sought him and said: "Seize him, for he has killed our companion." He said to those searching for him: "Look for him on the side paths, for Moses is a young man who does not know the way." Moses took the side paths, and the man came to him and informed him, "Indeed, the chiefs are conferring about you to kill you, so depart!"
His saying, the Exalted: "So he departed from it, fearful and anticipating."
16799 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Abi al-Thalj narrated to us: Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us: Asbagh ibn Zayd reported: al-Qasim ibn Abi Ayyub narrated to us: Sa'id ibn Jubayr narrated to us, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: He departed from it, heading toward Madyan, having never met a man before that, and having no knowledge of the way except for his good opinion of his Lord.
His saying, the Exalted: "My Lord, save me from the wrongdoing people."
16800 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us: 'Amr ibn Hammad narrated to us: Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "So he departed from it, fearful and anticipating. 'My Lord, save me from the wrongdoing people.'" When he took the side paths, an angel came to him on a horse, holding a spear in his hand. When Moses saw him, he prostrated to him out of fear. He said: "Do not prostrate to me, but follow me." So he followed him, and he guided him toward Madyan.
16801 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas narrated to us: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Salamah narrated to us: Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said: It was mentioned to me that he went out not knowing where he was going, fearful and anticipating, not knowing which path to take, saying: "My Lord, save me from the wrongdoing people." So Allah prepared the path for him to Madyan, and he left without provisions, without servants, and without a mount, fearful and anticipating.
His saying, the Exalted: "And when he directed himself toward Madyan."
16802 - My father narrated to us: Ibn Abi 'Umar narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Sa'd, from 'Ikrimah regarding His saying, the Almighty, the Majestic: "And when he directed himself toward Madyan," he said: Four paths appeared before Moses, and he did not know which one to take, so he said: "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to the sound way." So he took the path to Madyan.
