Volume 9 · Page 16[Surah al-Shu'ara (26): Verses 161 to 164]

Translation · EN

and in it were four hundred thousand, so the inhabitants of heaven heard the barking of dogs and the sounds of roosters, then he overturned it, its bottom to its top.

His saying (the Almighty): "When their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not fear Allah? Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. So fear Allah and obey me. And I do not ask you for it any payment; my payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.'"

Its interpretation has preceded.

15884 - al-Mundhir ibn Shadhan narrated to us, [saying]: Ya'la ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us, [saying]: 'Abd al-Malik narrated to us, from 'Ata' regarding His saying: "and obey me." He said: The obedience of the messenger is the following of the Book and the Sunnah.

His saying (the Almighty): "Do you approach the males among the worlds?"

15885 - Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani informed us in what he wrote to me, [saying]: Isma'il ibn 'Abd al-Karim reported, [saying]: 'Abd al-Samad ibn Ma'qil narrated to me, [saying]: I heard Wahb ibn Munabbih [who] said: The people of Sodom, among whom was Lot, were a wicked people who had dispensed with women in favor of men.

Its interpretation of the verse has preceded.

His saying (the Almighty): "And you leave what your Lord has created for you from your mates? But you are a people transgressing."

15886 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, [saying]: Shababah narrated to us, [saying]: Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "And you leave what your Lord has created for you from your mates," [meaning] you abandoned the front of women for the backs of men and the backs of women.

15887 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: 'Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Bazzaz, known as Kura', narrated to us, [saying]: Sharik narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Muhajir, from Mujahid [who] said: I asked him about the saying of Allah (the Mighty and Majestic): "And you leave what your Lord has created for you from your mates?" He said: "What your Lord made lawful for you from your mates," meaning the front.

His saying (the Almighty): "They said: 'If you do not desist, O Lot..." to His saying: "...and my family from what they do."

15888 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, [saying]: al-Husayn ibn 'Ali narrated to us, [saying]: 'Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, [saying]: Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi: "from what they do" - he says: They have sexual intercourse with men.
