Translation · EN

'Ikrimah said: Abraham was taken as an ally by all nations; the Jews, the Christians, the Magians, and all people testified to his justice, and that is the "tongue of truth," and it is the reward that We gave him in this world.

17262 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, al-Muharibi reported to us, from Layth, from Mujahid, regarding: "And We gave him his reward in this world," he said: The praise.

17263 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah and Yazid ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz reported to us, they said: ‘Abbad ibn al-‘Awwam reported to us, from Sufyan ibn Husayn, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "And We gave him his reward in this world," he said: His righteous intention through which he acquired the reward in the Hereafter.

His saying, the Exalted: "And indeed, in the Hereafter, he will be among the righteous."

17264 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi narrated to us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj reported to us, he said: I heard ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying: "Among the righteous," he said: The righteous are the prophets and the believers.

His saying, the Exalted: "And Lot, when he said to his people."

17265 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Ishaq ibn Mansur reported to us, from al-Hakam ibn ‘Abd al-Malik, from Qatadah, he said: Lot's village, when Gabriel, peace be upon him, raised it while there were four hundred thousand in it, the people of the heaven heard the barking of dogs and the crowing of roosters, then he turned it upside down. Its explanation has already preceded.

His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, you commit such immorality."

17266 - Muhammad ibn Isma‘il al-Ahmasi narrated to us, Waki‘ reported to us, al-Salt ibn Bahram narrated to me, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Mas‘ud al-‘Abdi, from Abu al-Mu‘tamir, or from Abu al-Juwayriyah al-Salt, he said: ‘Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said on the pulpit: "Ask me." Ibn al-Kawwa’ said: "Are women to be approached from their rear?" ‘Ali said: "May you be brought low, may Allah bring you low! Do you not hear His saying: 'Do you commit the immorality which no one has preceded you in from among the worlds?'"

17267 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith reported to us, Bishr ibn ‘Umarah reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding His saying: "Do you commit the immorality?" he said: Anal intercourse (dibar).
