15944 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, [saying]: Abu Shaybah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, [saying]: Ja'far ibn 'Awn narrated to us, [saying]: Muhammad ibn Sharik narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, [who] said: Whoever the Trustworthy Spirit has spoken to, the earth will not consume him.
His saying (the Exalted): 'That you may be of the warners.'
15945 - It was read to Muhammad ibn 'Aziz al-Ayli, [who] said: Salamah narrated to me, from 'Aqil, from Ibn Shihab, [who] said: Allah has explained to us in His Book that He sends Gabriel to Muhammad, our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). Allah (Mighty and Majestic is He) said: 'Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel - it is [none but] he who has brought the Qur'an down upon your heart, [O Muhammad], by permission of Allah.' And Allah mentioned the Trustworthy Spirit, saying: 'And indeed, it is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down upon your heart, that you may be of the warners,' meaning Gabriel (peace be upon him).
15946 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, [saying]: Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, [saying]: al-Layth narrated to me, from Yunus ibn Yazid, from Ibn Shihab, when he was asked about revelation, he said: 'Among the revelation is what Allah sends with whom He wills of His angels, so they reveal it into the hearts of whom He wills of His messengers. Allah has explained in His Book that He used to send Gabriel to Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and He said (Mighty and Majestic is He): "And indeed, it is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down. Upon your heart, that you may be of the warners. In a clear Arabic language."
His saying (the Exalted): 'In a clear Arabic language.'
15947 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, [saying]: Ahmad ibn Humayd narrated to me, from Abu Tumaylah (the brother-in-law of 'Abd Allah ibn Musa), from Abu al-Munib, from Husayn ibn Waqid, from Ibn Buraydah regarding 'In an Arabic language,' [who] said: In the language of Jurhum.
15948 - Abu Sa'id Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, [saying]: Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, [saying]: Sayf al-Maliki narrated to us, [who] said: I heard Mujahid saying: The Qur'an was revealed in the language of Quraysh and in their speech.
15949 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Bakr al-'Ataki narrated to us, [saying]: 'Abbad ibn 'Abbad al-Muhallabi narrated to us, from Musa ibn Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Taymi, from his father, [who] said: While the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was with his companions on a cloudy day, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to them: 'How do you view its clouds (bawasiquha)?' They said: 'How beautiful they are, and how thickly accumulated they are!' He said: 'And how do you view its bases (qawa'iduha)?' They said: 'How beautiful they are, and how firmly established they are!' He said: 'How do you view its movement?' They said: 'How beautiful it is, and how deep its darkness is!'
١٥٩٤٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: مَنْ كَلَّمَهُ الرُّوحُ الأَمِينُ لَمْ تَأْكُلْهُ الأَرْضُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
١٥٩٤٥ - قُرِئَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَزِيزٍ الأَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي سَلامَةُ، عَنْ عَقِيلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ: قَدْ بَيَّنَ اللَّهُ لَنَا فِي كِتَابِهِ أَنَّهُ يُرْسِلُ جِبْرِيلَ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّنَا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: مَنْ كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِجِبْرِيلَ فَإِنَّهُ نَزَّلَهُ عَلَى قَلْبِكَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَذَكَرَ اللَّهُ الرُّوحَ الأَمِينَ- فَقَالَ: وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الأَمِينُ عَلَى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذَرِينَ يَعْنِي جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ.
١٥٩٤٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ وَسُئِلَ، عَنِ الْوَحْيِ؟ فَقَالَ: مِنَ الْوَحْيِ مَا يُرْسِلُ اللَّهُ بِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ مَلائِكِتِهِ فَيُوحُونَهُ فِي قُلُوبِ مَنْ شَاءَ مِنْ رُسُلِهِ فَقَدْ بَيَّنَ اللَّهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُرْسِلُ جِبْرِيلَ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ. نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الأَمِينُ. عَلَى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذَرِينَ. بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ.
قَوْلُهُ تعالى: بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ
١٥٩٤٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي تُمَيْلَةَ خَتَنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ أَبِي المنيب، عن حسين بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ قَالَ: بِلِسَانِ جُرْهُمٍ.
١٥٩٤٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ثنا سَيْفٌ الْمَالِكِيُّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يَقُولُ: نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ بِلِسَانِ قُرَيْشٍ وَبِهِ كَلامُهُمْ.
١٥٩٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْعَتَكِيُّ، ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ أَصْحَابِهِ فِي يَوْمٍ دَجِنٍ، إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
كَيْفَ تَرَوْنَ بَوَاسِقَهَا؟ قَالُوا: مَا أَحْسَنَهَا وَأَشَدَّ تَرَاكُمَهَا! قَالَ: فَكَيْفَ تَرَوْنَ قَوَاعِدَهَا؟
قَالُوا: مَا أَحْسَنَهَا وَأَشَدَّ تَمَكُّنَهَا! قَالَ: كَيْفَ تَرَوْنَ جَرْيَهَا؟ قَالُوا: مَا أَحْسَنَهُ وَأَشَدَّ سَوَادَهُ!
