Ziyad, 'Umar ibn Abi 'Uthman reported to us, al-Hasan reported to us, from 'Imran ibn Husayn, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was asked about the saying of Allah: "Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing," and he said: "Whoever is not prohibited from immorality and wrongdoing by his prayer, then he has no prayer."
17340 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Talhah al-Yarbu'i reported to us, Abu Mu'awiyah reported to us, from Layth, from Tawus, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Whoever is not prohibited from immorality and wrongdoing by his prayer, he has increased in nothing from Allah except distance."
17341 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, Abu Khalid reported to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, from 'Abduh, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: (And Abu Khalid once said: from 'Abd Allah) "There is no prayer for one whom the prayer does not prohibit, and the obedience of the prayer prohibits him from immorality and wrongdoing."
17342 - My father narrated to us, Sa'id al-Ashaj reported to us, Ibn Numayr reported to us, from al-A'mash, from Malik ibn al-Harith, from 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid, who said: It was said to 'Abd Allah: "So-and-so prolongs the prayer." He said: "Indeed, the prayer benefits one who obeys it."
17343 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to me, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing," he says: In the prayer is a cessation and a restraint from the acts of disobedience to Allah.
17344 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki informed us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi reported to us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing," that in the prayer there are three qualities, and every prayer that does not contain something of these qualities is not a prayer: Sincerity (Ikhlas), fear (Khashyah), and the remembrance of Allah. Sincerity commands him to do good, fear prohibits him from wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah—the Qur'an—commands him and prohibits him.
17345 - Abu Humayd Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Sayyar al-Himsi narrated to us, Sa'id al-Qattan reported to us, Nafi' Abu Hurmuz reported to us, Arta'ah ibn al-Mundhir reported to us, from Abu Ghawth, regarding His saying: "Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing," he said: When you are in prayer, you are in an act of goodness, and it has already blocked you from immorality and wrongdoing, and what you are in of the remembrance of Allah is greater.
17346 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Hisham ibn 'Ammar reported to us, al-Hakam ibn Hisham al-'Uqayli reported to us.
زِيَادٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: إِنَّ الصَّلاةَ تَنْهَى، عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ قَالَ: مَنْ لَمْ تَنْهَهُ صَلاتُهُ، عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ فَلا صَلاةَ لَهُ.
١٧٣٤٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْيَرْبُوعِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مَنْ لَمْ تَنْهَهُ صَلاتُهُ، عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ لَمْ يَزِدْ بِهَا مِنَ اللَّهِ إِلا بُعْدًا.
١٧٣٤١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ، عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنْ عَبْدِهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقَالَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ مَرَّةً، عَنْ عَبْدِ الله لا صلاة لَمْ تَنْهَهُ الصَّلاةُ وَطَاعَةُ الصَّلاةِ تَنْهَاهُ، عَنِ الفحشاء والمنكر.»
١٧٣٤٢ - حدثنا أبي سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ: قِيلَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّه: إنَّ فلانا يطيل الصلاة قال: إن الصلاة تنفع الأمر أَطَاعَهَا.
١٧٣٤٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بن سالم. عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قوله: إن الصلاة تنهى، عن الفحشاء والمنكر يَقُولُ: فِي الصَّلاةِ مُنْتَهًى وَمُزْدَجَرٌ، عَنْ مَعَاصِي اللَّهِ.
١٧٣٤٤ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: إن الصلاة تنهى، عن الفحشاء والمنكر إِنَّ الصَّلاةَ فِيهَا ثَلَاثُ خِلَالٍ، فَكُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَا يَكُونُ فِيهَا شَيْءٌ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْخِلالِ فَلَيْسَتْ بِصَلاةِ الإِخْلاصِ وَالْخَشْيَةِ وَذِكْرِ اللَّهِ، فَالإِخْلاصُ يَأْمُرُهُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَالْخَشْيَةُ تَنْهَاهُ، عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ، وَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ الْقُرْآنُ يَأْمُرُهُ وَيَنْهَاهُ.
١٧٣٤٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَيَّارٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا نَافِعٌ أَبُو هُرْمُزَ، ثنا أَرْطَاةُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَبِي غَوْثٍ قَوْلُهُ: إِنَّ الصَّلاةَ تَنْهَى، عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ قَالَ: إِذَا كُنْتَ فِي صَلاةٍ فَأَنْتَ فِي مَعْرُوفٍ وَقَدْ حَجَزَتْكَ، عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ، وَالَّذِي أَنْتَ فِيهِ مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ أَكْثَرُ.
