His saying, the Exalted: "And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech"
17521 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech," he said: Buying it is choosing it, and it is sufficient for a person in misguidance that he chooses the speech of falsehood over the speech of truth. And regarding His saying: "And takes it in ridicule," he said: He mocks it and denies it. (1)
17522 - From Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And takes it in ridicule," he said: The path of Allah; he takes the path in ridicule. (2)
17523 - From Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who said: "Do not sell singing slave girls, do not buy them, do not teach them, and there is no good in trade involving them, and their price is forbidden. Concerning such as this, this verse was revealed: 'And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech' up to the end of the verse." (3)
17524 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding: "And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech," he said: It is singing and its likes. (4)
17525 - From Ata al-Khurasani (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding: "And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech," he said: Singing and falsehood. (5)
17526 - From al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: This verse was revealed: "And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech" regarding singing and musical instruments. (6)
His saying, the Exalted: "Gardens of Pleasure"
17527 - From Malik ibn Dinar (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: "Gardens of Pleasure" are between the Gardens of Firdaws and the Gardens of Eden, and in them are maidens made of the roses of Paradise. It was said: And who will dwell in them? He said:

قوله تعالى: وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لهو الحديث
١٧٥٢١ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: ومن الناس من يشتري لهو الحديث قال: شراؤه استحبابه وبحسب المرء من الضلالة أن يختار حديث الباطل على حديث الحق وفي قوله: ويتخذها هزوا قال: يستهزئ بها ويكذبها «١» .
١٧٥٢٢ - عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: ويتخذها هزوا قال: سبيل الله يتخذ السبيل هزوًا «٢» .
١٧٥٢٣ - عَنِ أَبِي أمامة رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لا تبيعوا القينات، ولا تشتروهن، ولا تعلموهن ولا خير في تجارة فيهن، وثمنهن حرام في مثل هذا أنزلت هذه الآية وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لهو الحديث إلى آخر الآية «٣» .
١٧٥٢٤ - عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا وَمَنْ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الحديث قال: هو الغناء وأشباهه «٤» .
١٧٥٢٥ - عن عطاء الخراساني رضي الله عنه وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لهو الحديث قال: الغناء والباطل «٥» .
١٧٥٢٦ - عن الحسن رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ وَمِنَ النَّاسِ من يشتري لهو الحديث في الغناء والمزامير «٦» .
قوله تعالى: جَنَّاتُ النَّعِيمِ
١٧٥٢٧ - عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قال: جَنَّاتُ النَّعِيمِ بَيْنَ جَنَّاتِ الْفِرْدَوْسِ، وَبَيْنَ جَنَّاتِ عدن وفيها جوار من ورد الجنة. قيل: ومن يسكنه؟ قال:
