His saying, the Almighty: "Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his chest."
17570 - From Ibn 'Abbas, he said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) stood praying one day and started to tremble (or shook). The hypocrites who were praying with him said: "Do you not see that he has two hearts? A heart with you and a heart with them?" So Allah revealed: "Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his chest" (1).
17571 - From Sa'id ibn Jubayr, Mujahid, and 'Ikrimah, they said: There was a man called "Dhu al-Qalbayn" (The Possessor of Two Hearts), so Allah revealed: "Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his chest" (2).
17572 - From al-Hasan, he said: There was a man in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) called Dhu al-Qalbayn. He used to say: "I have a self (nafs) that commands me and a self that forbids me," so Allah revealed about him what you hear (3).
17573 - From Mujahid, he said: A man from the tribe of Banu Fihr said: "In my chest there are two hearts; I understand with each of them better than the understanding of Muhammad." So it was revealed (4).
17574 - From al-Suddi: That it was revealed regarding a man from the Quraysh, from the tribe of Banu Jumah, who was called Jamil ibn Ma'mar (5).
His saying, the Almighty: "Nor has He made your wives whom you declare unlawful by dhihar your mothers."
17574 - From Mujahid, he said: A man used to say to his wife, "You are to me like the back of my mother." So Allah said: "Nor has He made your wives whom you declare unlawful by dhihar your mothers." And it was being said: "Zayd ibn Muhammad," so Allah said: "Nor has He made your adopted sons your [true] sons" (6).

17575 - From Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "Nor has He made your wives whom you declare unlawful by dhihar your mothers"—meaning, He has not made her your mother. And if a man declares dhihar upon his wife, Allah has not made her his mother, but He has established the expiation for it. And [regarding] "Nor has He made your adopted sons your [true] sons," He says: He has not made your adopted one your son. He says: If a man adopts another man, he is not his son. It was mentioned to us that the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) used to say: "Whoever intentionally attributes himself to someone other than his father, Allah will forbid Paradise to him."

قوله تعالى: مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍ من قلبين في جوفه
١٧٥٧٠ - عن ابن عباس قَالَ: قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يومًا يصلي، فخطر خطر فقال المنافقون الذين يصلون معه: ألا ترى أن له قلبين؟ قلبًا معكم وقلبًا معهم فأنزل الله: مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قلبين في جوفه «١» .
١٧٥٧١ - عن سعيد بن جبير ومجاهد وعكرمة قالوا: كان رجل يدعى ذا القلبين، فأنزل الله: مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قَلْبَيْنِ فِي جوفه «٢» .
١٧٥٧٢ - عن الحسن قال: كان رجل عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يسمى ذا القلبين كان يقول: لي نفس تأمرني، ونفس تنهاني، فأنزل الله فيه ما تسمعون «٣» .
١٧٥٧٣ - عن مجاهد قال: إن رجلًا من بني فهر قال: إن في جوفي قلبين، أعقل بكل واحد منهما أفضل من عقل محمد، فنزلت «٤» .
١٧٥٧٤ - عن السدى: أنها نزلت في رجل من قريش من بني جمح، يقال له:
جميل بن معمر «٥» .
قوله تعالى: وَمَا جَعَلَ أَزْوَاجَكُمُ اللَّائِي تُظَاهِرُونَ منهن أمهاتكم
١٧٥٧٤ - عن مجاهد قال: كان الرجل يقول لامرأته أنت عليَّ أمي. فقال الله:
وَمَا جَعَلَ أزواجكم اللائي تظاهرون منهن أمهاتكم وكان يقال: زيد بن محمد فقال الله وما جعل أدعياءكم أبناءكم «٦» .

١٧٥٧٥ - عَنْ قَتَادَة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَمَا جَعَلَ أَزْوَاجَكُمُ اللَّائِي تُظَاهِرُونَ مِنْهُنَّ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ أي ما جعلها أمك. وإذا ظاهر الرجل من امرأته فإن الله لم
