the verse: He said: Allah took a covenant from the prophets specifically that they should believe in one another, and that they should follow one another (1).
17594 - Abu Zur'ah al-Dimashqi narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Bakkar narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Bashir narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to me from al-Hasan from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him) regarding His saying the Almighty: "And [mention, O Muhammad,] when We took from the prophets their covenant, and from you and from Noah," the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "I was the first of the prophets in creation and the last of them in being sent; thus, I was begun before them" (2).
17595 - From al-Hasan from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him) regarding His saying: "And [mention, O Muhammad,] when We took from the prophets their covenant," he said: I was the first of the prophets in creation and the last of them in being sent; thus, he was begun before them (3).
17596 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): "Their covenant" means their pledge.
17597 - From Ibn Abbas regarding "And [mention, O Muhammad,] when We took from the prophets their covenant," he said: Allah only took the covenant of the prophets on behalf of their people (4).
His saying, the Almighty: "O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when armies came to you"
17598 - From Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding "O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when armies came to you," he said: That was the day of Abu Sufyan, the day of the Confederates (al-Ahzab) (5).
17599 - Ahmad ibn 'Asim al-Ansari narrated to us, Abu 'Amir narrated to us, [and] he narrated to me from my father, Abu 'Amir al-'Aqdi narrated to us, al-Zubayr—meaning Ibn 'Abd Allah, the freed slave of 'Uthman ibn 'Affan—narrated to us from Ratij ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Sa'id from his father from Abu Sa'id, who said: We said on the day of the Trench (al-Khandaq): "O Messenger of Allah, is there anything we should say, for the hearts have reached the throats?" He (peace be upon him) said: "Yes,"

الآية قال: أخذ الله على النبيين خصوصًا أن يصدق بعضهم بعضًا. وان يتبع بعضهم بعضًا «١» .
١٧٥٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ حدثني قتادة عن الحسن عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قوله تَعَالَى: وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِيثَاقَهُمْ وَمِنْكَ ومن نوح، الآية قَالَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كنت أول النبيين في الخلق وآخرهم في البعث، فبدئ بي قبلهم «٢» .
١٧٥٩٥ - عن الحسن عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قوله: وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِيثَاقَهُمْ قال: كنت أول النبيين في الخلق وآخرهم في البعث فبدئ به قبلهم «٣» .
١٧٥٩٦ - عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما مِيثَاقَهُمْ عهدهم.
١٧٥٩٧ - عن ابن عباس وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِنَ النبيين ميثاقهم قال: إنما أخذ الله ميثاق النبيين على قومهم «٤» .
قوله تعالى: يا أيها الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جاءتكم جنود
١٧٥٩٨ - عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يَا أيها الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جاءتكم جنود قال: كان يوم أبى سفيان يوم الأحزاب «٥» .
١٧٥٩٩ - حدثنا أحمد بن عاصم الأنصاري، حدثنا أبو عامر [ح] وحدثني ابي، ثنا أبو عامر العقدي، ثنا الزبير يعني ابن عبد الله، مولى عثمان بن عفان عن رتيج بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي سعيد عن أبيه عن أبي سعيد قال: قلنا يوم الخندق: يا رسول الله هل من شيء نقول، فقد بلغت القلوب الحناجر؟ قال صلي الله عليه وسلم: نعم،
