16116 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Hammad narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, who said: 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abbas said: When Moses had completed the term and was traveling with his family, he lost his way. It was winter, and a fire was raised up for him. When he saw it, he thought it was a fire, though it was from the light of Allah. He said to his family: "Remain here; indeed, I have perceived a fire."

16117 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas, the client of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Salamah narrated to us, saying: In it, Moses [attained] his honor, and in it, He informed him of his prophethood and His speech. He had lost his way in it to the point that he did not know where he was heading, so he brought out his fire-striker to kindle a fire for his family so that they might spend the night by it until he could see the direction of his path. His fire-striker became unyielding to him, so it did not produce fire for him. He struck it repeatedly until, when it exhausted him, the fire appeared to him. He saw it and said to his family: "Remain here; indeed, I have perceived a fire."
