my uncle narrated to me, my father narrated to me, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "And Satan has made their deeds fair-seeming to them," and Iblis (Satan) had made their deeds fair-seeming to them.
His saying: "And diverted them from the way, so they are not guided."
16267 - My father narrated to us, Ibn Abi 'Umar narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Sa'd, meaning Sa'id ibn al-Marzuban, from 'Ikrimah regarding His saying: "They are not guided," meaning they do not know.
His saying, the Almighty: "That they do not prostrate to Allah, who brings forth the hidden in the heavens and the earth."

16268 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "He brings forth the hidden in the heavens and the earth," meaning He knows every secret in the heavens and the earth.
16269 - Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani narrated to us, Hafs ibn 'Umar informed us, al-Hakam ibn Aban narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah regarding His saying: "He brings forth the hidden in the heavens and the earth," he said: The hidden is the secret.
16270 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "He brings forth the hidden," meaning the unseen. And it was narrated from Sa'id ibn Jubayr and Qatadah similar to the statement of 'Ikrimah.
The second interpretation:
16271 - Abu Sa'id ibn Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "He brings forth the hidden," he said: The rain.
And it was narrated from Hakim ibn Jabir that it is the rain.
16272 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abi Safwan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, 'Abd al-Hamid ibn 'Amr ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Abu Yazid al-Taymi, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib that he was asked about His saying: "He brings forth the hidden," he said: The hidden is water.
16273 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed me in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj informed us, he said:
عَمِّي، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَقَدْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمْ إِبْلِيسُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ.
قَوْلُهُ: فَصَدَّهُمْ، عَنِ السَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لا يَهْتَدُونَ
١٦٢٦٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعْدٍ يَعْنِي سَعِيدَ بْنَ المرزيان، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: لا يَهْتَدُونَ لَا يَعْرِفُونَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَلا يَسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي يخرج الخبء في السماوات والأرض

١٦٢٦٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ في السماوات وَالأَرْضِ قَالَ:
الْخَبْءُ السِّرُّ.
١٦٢٧٠ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَوْلُهُ: يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ الْغَيْبَ- وَرُوِيَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَقَتَادَةَ مِثْلُ قَوْلِ عِكْرِمَةَ.

١٦٢٧٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي صَفْوَانَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَزِيدَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ، عَنِ قَوْلِهِ: يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ قَالَ: الْخَبْءُ الْمَاءُ.
١٦٢٧٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ أَنْبَأَ أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ:
