16293 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Salamah narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Yazid ibn Ruman, he said: When she read it, she heard a letter not like the letters of the kings who were before her, so she sent for the Muqawilah (chiefs/leaders) of the people of Yemen.

16294 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Suwayd ibn Sa'id narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from al-Minhal, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas he said: He went with the letter until he was in the middle of her throne; he cast the letter to her, and it was read to her, and it said: "Indeed, it is from Sulayman, and indeed, it is 'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.'"
حَتَّى إِذَا ارْتَفَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَلْقَى الْكِتَابَ مِنَ الْكُوَّةِ فَوَقَعَ عَلَيْهَا فِي مَكَانِهَا الَّذِي هِيَ فِيهِ، فَأَخَذَتْهُ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةً لَبِيبَةً أَدِيبَةً بِبَيْتٍ لِمُلْكٍ لَمْ يَمْلِكْ إِلا لِبَقَايَا مُلْكِ مَنْ مَضَى، مِنْ أَهْلِهَا قَدْ سَسَتْ وَحَسُنَتْ حَتَّى أَحْكَمَهَا ذَلِكَ، وَكَانَتْ وَدِينُهَا وَدِينُ قَوْمِهَا فِيمَا ذُكِرَ لِي الزِّنْدِيقِيَّةُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ

كُنْ قَرِيبًا مِنْهُمْ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ
١٦٢٩٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: فَأَلْقِهْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ يَقُولُ: تَنَحَّ عَنْهُمْ نَاحِيَةً.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلأُ
١٦٢٩١ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي صَاحِبَةِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَكَانَ تَحْتَهَا أَلْفُ قَيْلٍ كُلُّ قَيْلٍ عَلَى مِائَةِ أَلْفٍ.
١٦٢٩٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلأُ تُرِيدُ قَوْمَهَا.
١٦٢٩٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ، قَالَ: فَلَمَّا قَرَأَتْ سَمِعَتْ كِتَابًا لَيْسَ مِنْ كُتُبِ الْمُلُوكِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ قَبْلَهَا، فَبَعَثَتْ إِلَى الْمَقَاوِلَةِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِنِّي أُلْقِيَ إِلَيَّ كِتَابٌ كَرِيمٌ
١٦٢٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: فَانْطَلَقَ بِالْكِتَابِ حَتَّى إِذَا تَوَسَّطَ عَرْشَهَا، أَلْقَى الْكِتَابَ إِلَيْهَا فَقُرِئَ عَلَيْهَا فَإِذَا فِيهِ إِنَّهُ مِنْ سُلَيْمَانَ وَإِنَّهُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرحمن الرحيم
