16315 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Suwayd ibn Sa'id narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from al-Minhal, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "She said, 'O eminent ones, advise me in my affair,'" he said: She gathered the leaders of her kingdom and consulted them, and she said: "Indeed, there has been delivered to me a noble letter." Because she consulted them in her affair, their opinion and her opinion agreed to invade him.
16316 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan ibn Salih narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad, regarding His saying: "advise me in my affair," she says: Indicate with your opinion.
His saying, the Almighty: "I would not have decided an affair until you are present"
16317 - And by it from Zuhayr ibn Muhammad, regarding His saying: "I would not have decided an affair until you are present," she means: until you indicate [your opinion].
His saying, the Almighty: "They said, 'We are possessors of strength'"
16318 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Suwayd ibn Sa'id narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from al-Minhal, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "We are possessors of strength," he said: Their opinion and her opinion agreed to invade him, so she set out and left her throne in [a series of] houses, some of which were one after the other.
16319 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan ibn Salih narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad, regarding the saying of Allah: "They said, 'We are possessors of strength,'" they said: We are twelve thousand kings, with every king are twelve thousand men prepared for battle.
16320 - My father narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Rafi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mafra narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Mujahid, he said: Under the command of the Queen of Sheba were twelve thousand 'qayls' (leaders/princes), and under the command of each qayl were one hundred thousand warriors, and they are the ones who said: "We are possessors of strength and possessors of great might."
His saying, the Almighty: "And possessors of great might"
16321 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us, in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj informed us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd regarding the saying of Allah: "And possessors of great might," they offered her battle; they fight on her behalf.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلأُ أَفْتُونِي فِي أَمْرِي
١٦٣١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلأُ أَفْتُونِي فِي أَمْرِي قَالَ: فَجَمَعَتْ رُؤوسَ مملكتها فشاورتهم فقالت إنه أُلْقِيَ إِلَيَّ كِتَابٌ كَرِيمٌ لأَنَّهَا شَاوَرَتْهُمْ فِي أَمْرِهَا فَأَجْمَعَ رَأْيُهُمْ وَرَأْيُهَا عَلَى أَنْ يَغْزُوهُ.
١٦٣١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: أَفْتُونِي فِي أَمْرِي تَقُولُ: أَشِيرُوا بِرَأْيِكُمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مَا كُنْتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّى تَشْهَدُونَ
١٦٣١٧ - وَبِهِ عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مَا كُنْتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّى تَشْهَدُونَ تُرِيدُ حَتَّى تُشِيرُونَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قَالُوا نَحْنُ أولوا قُوَّةٍ
١٦٣١٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ في قوله: نحن أولوا قوة قال فاجمع رأيهم ورأيها على أَنْ تَغْزُوَهُ فَخَرَجَتْ وَتَرَكَتْ سَرِيرَهَا فِي بُيُوتٍ بَعْضُهَا فِي أَثَرِ بَعْضٍ.
١٦٣١٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: قَالُوا نحن أولوا قُوَّةٍ قَالُوا: نَحْنُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفَ مَلِكٍ مَعَ كُلِّ مَلِكٍ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفَ مُسْتَلِمٍ فِي السِّلاحِ.
١٦٣٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَفْرَا، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ: كَانَ تَحْتَ يَدَيْ مَلِكَةِ سَبَأٍ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفَ قُيُولٍ تَحْتَ يَدَيْ كُلِّ قُيُولٍ مَائِهُ أَلْفِ مُقَاتِلٍ، وَهُمُ الَّذِينَ قالوا نحن أولوا قوة وأولوا بأس شديد
قوله تعالى: وأولوا بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ
١٦٣٢١ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، أَنْبَأَ أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ:
سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ وأُولُوا بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ عَرَضُوا لَهَا الْقِتَالَ يُقَاتِلُونَ لَهَا.
