16353 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to us, Ibn Abi Za'idah informed us, Ibn Abi Khalid informed us, from Abu Salih regarding his saying: "For we will surely come to them with armies they have no power to resist," meaning: they have no strength against them. It was narrated from Qatadah similar to that.
His saying, the Exalted: "And we will surely drive them out of it as humiliation."
16354 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, regarding: "And we will surely drive them out of it as humiliation," he says: with disgrace.

16355 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Salamah narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Yazid ibn Ruman, regarding: "While they are humbled," i.e., that she and her people will come to me in submission. When the messengers returned to her with what he said, she said: "By Allah, I have come to know that this is not a king, and we have no power against him, and we will achieve nothing by defying him."

16356 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Suwayd ibn Sa'id narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from al-Minhal, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: Then Sulayman said: "O eminent ones, which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"

When Sulayman saw the rising dust, he said: "O eminent ones, which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"
16359 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid narrated to us, from Sa'id,
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لا قِبَلَ لَهُمْ بِهَا
١٦٣٥٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أنبأ ابن أبي زائدة، أنبأ ابن أبي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ قَوْلُهُ: فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُمْ بِجُنُودٍ لا قِبَلَ لَهُمْ بِهَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَهُمْ بِهَا- وَرُوِيَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُمْ مِنْهَا أَذِلَّةً
١٦٣٥٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُمْ مِنْهَا أَذِلَّةً يَقُولُ: بِالذُّلِّ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ
١٦٣٥٥ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ أَيْ لَتَأْتِيَنِّي مَسْلَمَةً، هِيَ وَقَوْمُهَا، فَلَمَّا رَجَعَتْ إِلَيْهَا الرُّسُلُ بِمَا قَالَ: قَالَتْ: قَدْ وَاللَّهِ عَرَفْتُ مَا هَذَا بِمَلِكٍ، وَمَا لَنَا بِهِ طَاقَةٌ وَمَا نَصْنَعُ بِمُكَابَرَتِهِ شَيْئًا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قال يا أيها الملؤا أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِي بِعَرْشِهَا
١٦٣٥٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ:
يَا أيها الملؤا أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِي بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتُونِي مُسْلِمِينَ
١٦٣٥٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: فَلَمَّا أَتَى فَقَالَ لِهُدْهُدٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ سُلَيْمَانَ: عَجَّلَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَكَانَ آدَمَيًّا، فَقَالَ: يَا أَيُّهَا الملؤا أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِي بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتُونِي مُسْلِمِينَ
١٦٣٥٨ - ذَكَرَ أَبِي، ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، أنبأ عَبْدَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: فَأَقْبَلَ مَعَهَا أَلْفُ قَيْلٍ مَعَ كُلِّ قَيْلٍ مِائَةُ أَلْفٍ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى سُلَيْمَانُ وَهَجَ الغبار قال يا أيها الملؤا أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِي بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتُونِي مُسْلِمِينَ
