16372 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali narrated to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, who said: "An 'ifrit from the jinn said: 'I will bring it to you before you rise from your place.' The place (maqam) is the seat where people sit for food where they eat." He said: "I want something faster than that."

16373 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Isma'il, from Abu Salih regarding "Before you rise from your place," he said: "From the jinn," he said: "I want something faster than that."

His saying, the Exalted: "And I am, for this, strong and trustworthy."

[The First Aspect]

16374 - My father narrated to me, Abu Salih narrated to us, he said: Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying to the 'ifrit of the jinn: "And I am, for this, strong and trustworthy," he says: "For carrying it." Abu Muhammad said: And it was narrated from Zuhayr ibn Muhammad similarly.

The Second Aspect:

16375 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, al-Mu'afa narrated to us, Abu Tawbah Jarwal ibn Hanfal narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "And I am, for this, strong and trustworthy," he said: "Trustworthy regarding its substance (jewels)." And it was narrated from Zuhayr ibn Muhammad the same as that.

His saying, the Exalted: "Said he who had knowledge from the Book."

[The First Aspect]

16376 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, al-Walid narrated to us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad narrated to us: "He who had knowledge from the Book" is a man from among mankind who is called Dhu al-Nur; his knowledge was the Book.

16377 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from al-Minhal ibn 'Amr, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "He who had knowledge from the Book," he said: Asaf, the scribe of Sulayman, peace be upon him.

16378 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Isma'il, from Abu Salih regarding: "He who had knowledge from the Book," he said: A man from among mankind.

The Second Aspect:

16379 - It was read to Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la, Ibn Wahb informed us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah said: "He who had knowledge from the Book" is al-Khidr.
