537 - Imran ibn Bakkar al-Kala'i al-Himsiyy berichtete uns: Abu al-Fadl Yazid ibn 'Abd Rabbihi erzählte uns, er sagte: Ich hörte Abu 'Adiyy al-Yaman ibn 'Adiyy sagen: „Ich sah, wie Arta'a, wenn ihm ein Buch gebracht wurde, in dem stand: ‚Ali und Uthman sagten‘, dies auslöschte und stattdessen ‚Uthman und Ali‘ schrieb.“
٥٣٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ الْكَلَاعِيُّ الْحِمْصِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَدِيٍّ الْيَمَانَ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ، يَقُولُ ⦗٣٨٣⦘: " رَأَيْتُ أَرْطَأَةَ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِكِتَابٍ فِيهِ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ وَعُثْمَانُ مَحَاهُ، وَكَتَبَ: عُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ "
