Whoever does so has done well, and whoever does not, there is no blame on him." (123) An odd number is three in each eye, and it is said: three in the right and two in the left, so that the odd number is achieved in both eyes together.

Al-Khallal narrated with his chain of narration from Abd Allah ibn al-Mughaffal, who said: The Messenger of Allah forbade grooming except occasionally. (124) Ahmad said: Its meaning is that one should oil oneself one day and not the next. Ahmad used to admire perfume because the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) loved perfume and perfumed himself often.

Section: It is narrated from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) that he cursed the one who adds false hair and the one who asks for it to be added, the one who plucks facial hair and the one who asks for it to be plucked, and the one who files teeth and the one who asks for them to be filed. (125) These practices are prohibited because the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) cursed those who perform them, and it is not permissible to curse the one who performs a permissible act.
