Jabir narrated that he said: "The last of the two matters from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the abandonment of wudu' from what fire has touched." Narrated by Abu Dawood. And because it is something eaten, it resembles other foods. It has been narrated from Abu Abd Allah that he said concerning one who eats camel meat: "If he does not know, there is no wudu' upon him, but if the man has come to know and heard [the ruling], then it is obligatory upon him; for he has learned, and he is not like one who does not know and is unaware." Al-Khallal said: "Upon this, the opinion of Abu Abd Allah has settled in this chapter." Our evidence is what al-Bara' ibn 'Azib narrated, saying: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about camel meat, and he said: 'Perform wudu' from it.' And he was asked about the meat of sheep, and he said: 'Do not perform wudu' from it.'" [Narrated by Abu Dawood]. Jabir ibn Samurah also narrated the same from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), which Muslim recorded. Imam Ahmad narrated with his isnad from Usayd ibn Hudayr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Perform wudu' from camel meat, and do not perform wudu' from the meat of sheep." Ibn Majah narrated similar from Abdullah ibn 'Amr from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Ahmad and Ishaq ibn Rahwayh said: There are two authentic hadiths regarding this
