as if she were concealing it: Follow (22) the trace of the blood. Narrated by Muslim (23). The fursa is a piece of anything.

Section: It is recommended for one in a state of janabah, if he wishes to sleep, or to have intercourse again, or to eat, to wash his private part and perform wudu'. This was reported from Ali and Abdullah ibn Umar; Abdullah ibn Umar used to perform wudu' except for washing his feet. Ibn al-Musayyab said: If he wishes to eat, he should wash his hands and rinse his mouth. A similar view was related from our Imam, Ishaq, and the Companions of Opinion (Ashab al-Ra'y). Mujahid said: He should wash his hands, based on what was narrated from Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him), when he wished to eat while in a state of janabah, would wash his hands. Narrated by Abu Dawud, Al-Nasa'i, and Ibn Majah (24). Malik said: He should wash his hands if any impurity has touched them. Ibn al-Musayyab and the Companions of Opinion said: He may sleep without touching water, based on what Al-Aswad narrated from Aisha, who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to sleep while in a state of janabah, without touching water. Narrated by Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, and others (25). Ahmad narrated in the Musnad (26): Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash narrated to us, Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Al-Aswad, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would be in a state of janabah, then sleep, and not touch water until he stood up after that to perform ghusl. It was also narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) would visit his wives with one ghusl. [Narrated by Al-Bukhari] (27). This is because it is a state of ritual impurity (hadath) requiring ghusl, so wudu' is not recommended while it persists, like menstruation. However, we have in our favor what was narrated that Umar asked the Prophet (peace be upon him): "May one of us sleep while in a state of janabah?" He said: "Yes, if he performs wudu'." Agreed upon (28). From Abu Sa'id, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "If one of you approaches his spouse and then wishes to return, he should perform wudu'." Narrated by Muslim (29). From Aisha, that the Prophet (peace be upon him), when he wished to eat or sleep, would perform wudu'. Meaning, while in a state of janabah. Narrated by Abu Dawud (30). As for the hadith of Aisha: "He would sleep while in a state of janabah and not touch water," it was narrated by Abu Ishaq from Al-Aswad from Aisha, while many others narrated from Al-Aswad from Aisha that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to perform wudu' before he slept. Narrated by Shu'bah and Al-Thawri, and they consider it an error on the part of Abu Ishaq (31). Ahmad said: Abu Ishaq narrated a hadith from Al-Aswad in which he differed from everyone else, for no one else said from Al-Aswad what he said. If only he had attributed it to someone other than Al-Aswad! The other hadith does not contain the fact that he did not perform wudu' when he wanted to return, and these ahadith are to be interpreted...
