herself, or appointed her as an agent for divorce, and she divorces herself, it is like his divorce. Her dowry is not forfeited, because the woman, even if she performs the act of divorce, is a deputy for him and an agent on his behalf, and the act of the agent is like the act of the principal; so it is as if it originated from his own direct action. If he suspends her divorce on an act from her, her dowry is not forfeited, because the cause was found from him, and she only realized its condition, and the legal ruling is attributed to the one who initiated the cause.
