The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: "Angels of the night and angels of the day succeed one another among you, and they gather at the dawn prayer and the ʿAṣr prayer. Then those who stayed among you ascend, and He asks them—while He is more knowing of them—'How did you leave My servants?' They say: 'We left them while they were praying, and we came to them while they were praying.'" The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: "Whoever prays the two cool prayers will enter Paradise," meaning these two prayers. He also said: "If they knew what was in [the ʿAtamah and morning prayers] (17), they would come to them even if by crawling." These hadiths are agreed upon (18). It was said: It is the Maghrib, because the first is Ẓuhr, so Maghrib would be the third, and the third of every
