[It is permissible to kill lice; because 'Umar, Anas, and al-Hasan al-Basri used to do that. The Qadi said: Paying no attention to it is better; but if one does so, there is no harm. Al-Awza'i said: Leaving it is more beloved to me; because that distracts from the prayer for a trivial matter, and it is possible to address it after the prayer. And it might be frequent, thus invalidating the prayer] (101).
