(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "If one of you yawns in prayer, let him suppress it as much as he can, for the devil enters." From the Sahih (104). In another narration, he said: "If one of you yawns, let him place his hand over his mouth; for the devil enters." Reported by Sa'id in his "Sunan". Al-Tirmidhi said: It is a hasan hadith. If saliva overcomes him while he is in the mosque, he should spit (105) into his garment and rub (106) some of it against some. If he is outside the mosque, [if he prefers, he may do that, and if he prefers, he may spit] (107) to his left or under his foot. This is because [it was narrated] (108) from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw sputum in the qiblah of the mosque, so he turned to the people and said: "What is the matter with one of you who stands facing his Lord and spits in front of Him? Would he like it to be faced and spat in his face? If one of you must spit, let him spit to his left or under his foot. If he does not find [a place], let him do this." And al-Qasim described it: He spat into his garment, then rubbed some of it against some. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Spitting in the mosque is a sin, and its expiation is to bury it." [Reported by Muslim] (109). There is no harm
