And it was said to Abu Abd Allah: A man started performing a voluntary prayer, then he changed his mind and made that rak'ah a Witr? He said: No, how can this be? He has changed his intention. It was said to him: Should he begin the Witr? He said: Yes. Abu Abd Allah said: If he performs Qunut before the bowing (Ruku'), he says the Takbir, then commences with the Qunut. It has been narrated from Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that when he finished the recitation, he would say the Takbir, then perform Qunut, then say the Takbir when he bowed. This has also been narrated from Ali, Ibn Mas'ud, and al-Bara', and it is the opinion of al-Thawri. We know of no disagreement regarding this.
Section: It is recommended that he says after his Witr: "Subhan al-Malik al-Quddus" (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Holy) three times, and he should lengthen his voice with it on the third time, because of what Ubayy ibn Ka'b narrated, saying: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, gave the salutation from Witr, he used to say: "Subhan al-Malik al-Quddus." This is how Abu Dawud recorded it (76). Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza narrated, saying: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to perform Witr with {Sabbih isma rabbika al-a'la}, {Qul ya ayyuha al-kafirun}, and {Qul huwa Allahu ahad}, and when he wished to depart from Witr, he would say: "Subhan al-Malik al-Quddus" three times, and he would raise his voice with it on the third time. Imam Ahmad recorded it in "al-Musnad" (77).
247 - Issue; He said: (And the standing of the month of Ramadan is twenty rak'ahs. He means the Tarawih prayer.)
It is a confirmed Sunnah, and the first to establish it was the Messenger of Allah -peace and blessings of Allah be upon him-. Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah -peace and blessings of Allah be upon him- used to encourage standing in prayer during Ramadan, without ordering them to do so as a binding obligation, saying: "Whoever stands in prayer during Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven." And Aishah said:
