Along with many verses and reports, some of which we will mention in other than this place, if God Almighty wills. As for the consensus, the community has reached consensus on the obligation of five prayers in the day and night. Section: The obligatory prayers are five in the day and night. There is no disagreement among the Muslims regarding their obligation, and nothing else is obligatory except due to an accidental cause, such as a vow or otherwise. This is the view of the majority of the scholars. Abū Ḥanīfa said: The Witr is obligatory, due to what was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, that he said: "Indeed, God has increased you a prayer, and it is the Witr" (8). This implies its obligation. He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, also said: "The Witr is a right." Narrated by Ibn Mājah (9). Our evidence is what Ibn Shihāb narrated from Anas ibn Mālik, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: "God imposed upon my community fifty prayers," and he mentioned the hadith until he said: "Then I returned to my Lord, and He said: They are five and they are fifty; the word is not changed with Me." It is agreed upon (10). And from ʿUbāda ibn al-Ṣāmit
