two rak'ahs, and he would pray four, so we mentioned that to him. He replied: "We are more knowledgeable." Narrated by Al-Athram (6). Sa'id narrated with his chain of authority from Al-Miswar bin Makhrama, who said: "We stayed with Sa'd in some of the villages of the Levant for forty nights; Sa'd would shorten the prayer, and we would complete it." (7) Nafi' said: "Ibn Umar stayed in Azerbaijan (8) for six months praying two rak'ahs, as the snow stood between him and entering [the city]." (9) From Hafs bin Abdullah: that Anas bin Malik stayed in the Levant for two years (10) praying the prayer of a traveler. Anas said: "The companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stayed in Ramhormuz (11) for seven months shortening the prayer." (12) From Al-Hasan, from Abd al-Rahman bin Samura, who said: "I stayed with him for two years (13) in Kabul (14) shortening the prayer and not holding the Friday prayer."
