not face Hisham ibn Isma'il when he delivered the sermon, so Hisham assigned a policeman to him to turn him towards himself. However, the first opinion is more appropriate, due to what 'Adi ibn Thabit narrated from his father, from his grandfather, who said: "When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood on the pulpit, his Companions would face him with their faces." Narrated by Ibn Majah. (10) Also, from Muti' ibn Yahya (11) al-Madani, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood on the pulpit, we would turn our faces towards him." Narrated by Al-Athram. This is also because it is more effective for their hearing, so it is recommended, just as it is recommended for the Imam to face them.
283-Issue: He said: (He praised Allah, extolled Him, invoked blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then sat down and stood up, and then also brought [praise of Allah] (1) and extolled Him, invoked blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), read, and preached. If he wishes to supplicate for anyone, he may do so.)
The total of this is that two sermons are a condition for the Jumu'ah prayer. This is the school of Al-Shafi'i. Malik, Al-Awza'i, Ishaq, Abu Thawr, Ibn al-Mundhir, and the People of Reason said: One sermon is sufficient for him. It has been narrated from Ahmad what points to that, as he said: "The sermon must not be except as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) preached, or (2) a complete sermon." The argument for the first position is that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver two sermons, as we narrated in the hadith of Ibn 'Umar and Jabir ibn Samura, and he said: "Pray as you have seen me praying." Also, because the two sermons have been established in place of the two rak'ahs; thus, each sermon is in the place of a rak'ah, so failing to perform one of them is like failing to perform one of the two rak'ahs. It is required for each one of them to praise Allah Almighty and invoke blessings upon His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Every affair of importance that does not begin with the praise of Allah is truncated (3)." And when the mention of Allah Almighty becomes obligatory,
