an expiation for what is between him and the (following) Friday, and its light will reach the Ancient House.

Section: It is recommended to frequently invoke supplication (du'a) on Friday, in the hope that it coincides with the hour of response; for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned Friday and said: "In it is an hour, no Muslim servant coincides with it while praying, asking Allah for anything, but He will grant it to him." He signaled with his hand to indicate it is short. In another wording: "While he is standing and praying." Agreed upon (54). There is disagreement regarding that hour. Abd Allah ibn Salam and Tawus said: It is the last hour of the day of Friday. Ibn Salam interpreted prayer (salah) as the waiting for it. It was also narrated as marfu' (attributed) to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). It was narrated from Abd Allah ibn Salam, who said: I said while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sitting: We find in the Book of Allah: On Friday there is an hour, no believing servant coincides with it while praying, asking Allah in it for something, but Allah will fulfill his need. Abd Allah ibn Salam said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) signaled to me, "Or a part of an hour." I said: You have spoken the truth, or a part of an hour. I said: Which hour is it? He said: "It is the last hour of the hours of the day." I said: It is not a time of prayer. He said: "Yes, indeed, the believing servant when..."
