with the decree of Allah. In some of the reports, it is stated: 'If the family of the deceased (27) call out with woe and destruction, the Angel of Death will stand at the threshold of the door and say: "If your cry is directed at me, I have been commanded; if it is directed at your deceased, he is buried; if it is directed at your Lord, then woe and destruction to you! I have many returns (28) to you, and then more returns."' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'If you attend to a deceased person, say good things, for the angels say "Amin" to what you say.' (29)

Section: It has been authentically reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: 'The deceased is punished in his grave for what is wailed over him.' In another wording: 'The deceased is indeed punished by the weeping of his family over him.' This was narrated by 'Umar, his son, and al-Mughirah, and these are agreed-upon hadiths (30).
