from one of them that which has a value of thirteen and a half. If one-third is goats and two-thirds are sheep, he shall pay that which has a value of fourteen. If one-third is sheep and two-thirds are goats, he shall pay that which has a value of thirteen. (1) The same applies if he has among his camels ten Bakhti (Bactrian camels), ten Mahriyyah (a breed of riding camels), and ten Arabiyyah (Arabian camels), and the value of a Bakhti bint makhad is thirty, the value of the Mahriyyah is twenty-four, and the value of the Arabiyyah is twelve; he shall pay a bint makhad whose value is one-third of the value of a Bakhti bint makhad, which is ten, plus one-third of the value of a Mahriyyah, which is eight, plus one-third of the value of an Arabiyyah, which is four, making the total twenty-two. The second is that it is not sufficient, because he paid from a type other than that of his wealth, resembling the case of paying from a different genus, and it differs from when he pays from one of his two types, because that was permitted to avoid fractionalizing the obligatory amount, and the Lawgiver has permitted paying from a different genus in the case of a small number of camels and the shat al-jubran (sheep of compensation) as well (4), unlike our current issue.

412 - Issue; He said: "And if a group mixes their wealth in five camels, or thirty cattle, or forty sheep, and their pasture, watering place, sleeping place, milking place, and stud (male) are one, the zakat shall be taken from them collectively."

The summary is that mixing (khulta) in pasturing livestock makes the wealth of two men like the wealth of one man regarding
