Abu Ubayd narrated in "al-Gharib" from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "There is no sadaqah in the jabhah, nor in the nukkhah, nor in the kus'ah." He interpreted the jabhah as horses, the nukkhah as slaves, and the kus'ah as donkeys. Al-Kisa'i said: The nukkhah, with a damma on the nun, means working cows. Furthermore, whatever has no zakat due on its males exclusively or its females exclusively, does not have zakat due on them when they are combined, like donkeys. Also, whatever does not have its zakat paid out from its own kind among pasturing livestock is not obligatory, like all other beasts of burden. عَنْ صَدَقَةِ الخَيْلِ والرَّقِيقِ". رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِىُّ (١٩). [وقال: صحيحٌ] (٢٠). ورَوَى أبو عُبَيْدٍ، فى "الغَرِيبِ" (٢١)، عن النَّبِىِّ -صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ-: "لَيْسَ فى الجَبْهَةِ، وَلَا فى النُّخَّةِ، ولَا فى الكُسْعَةِ، صَدَقَةٌ". وفَسَّرَ الجَبْهَةَ بالخَيْلِ، والنُّخَّةَ بالرَّقِيقِ، والكُسْعَةَ بالحَمِيرِ. وقال الْكِسَائِىُّ: النُّخَّةُ: بِضَمِّ النُّونِ: البَقَرُ العَوَامِلُ. ولأنَّ ما لا زَكاةَ فى ذُكُورِه المُفْرَدَة، وإنَاثِه المُفْرَدَة، لا زكاةَ فيهما إذا اجْتَمَعَا، كالحَمِيرِ. ولأنَّ ما لا يُخْرَجُ زَكاتُه (٢٢) من جِنْسِه من السَّائِمَةِ لا تَجِبُ فيه، كسائِرِ الدَّوَابِّ، ولأنَّ الخَيْلَ دَوَابٌّ، فلا تَجِبُ الزَّكَاةُ فيها، كسائِرِ الدَّوَابِّ، ولأنَّها
