and nobility, reverence, awe, and righteousness. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, abundantly, as He is worthy, and as befits the generosity of His Countenance and the Might of His Majesty. Praise be to Allah who has brought me to His House and deemed me worthy of it. And praise be to Allah in all circumstances. O Allah, You have called for the Hajj of Your Sacred House, and I have come to You for that. O Allah, accept it from me, pardon me, and rectify all my affairs; there is no god but You." Al-Shafi'i said in his "Musnad" (7): Sa'id ibn Salim informed us, from Ibn Jurayj, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when he saw the House, would raise his hands and say: "O Allah, increase this House in nobility, dignity (8), reverence, awe, and righteousness, and increase those who honor it—from among those who perform Hajj and 'Umrah to it—in nobility, dignity, reverence, and righteousness." He also narrated (9) with his chain from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab that, when he looked at the House, he would say: "O Allah, You are Peace, and from You is peace, so greet us, our Lord, with peace." If he fears missing the two rak'ahs of Fajr or the Witr, or if a funeral prayer is presented, he should prioritize them, because they are sunnah that he fears missing, whereas the tawaf does not "miss" (i.e., it can be performed at any time).

610 - Issue: He said: (Then he came to the Black Stone, if it was there, and he touched it (istalama-hu) if he was able, and he kissed it.)

The meaning of "istalama-hu" is that he wiped it with his hand (1). It is derived from 'al-salam' (the stone), and it refers to stones. So when one wipes the stone, it is said "istalama," meaning: he touched the stone. This was stated by Ibn Qutaybah (2). It is recommended
