All of Arafah is a standing place, for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I have stood here, and all of Arafah is a standing place." Narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah (2). It is narrated from Yazid ibn Shayban that he said: Ibn Mirba' al-Ansari came to us while we were at Arafah in a place that Amr (3) keeps away from the Imam, and he said: "I am the messenger of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to you, saying: 'Remain upon your rites (mashair), for you are upon a legacy from the legacy of your father Ibrahim'" (4). The boundary of Arafah is from the mountain overlooking
