الترجمة · EN

on the Day of Arafah while he was reciting the Talbiyah, and a man said a word to him. I heard him add something to his Talbiyah that I had not heard before; he said: "Labbayk, to the number of the dust." It is recommended to proceed along the road of al-Ma'zamayn (7); because it is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) traversed it (8). If one takes another road, it is permissible.

639 - Issue; He said: (Then he prays Maghrib and Isha with the Imam, with an iqamah for each prayer. If he combines them with a single iqamah, there is no harm).

The general ruling regarding this is that the Sunnah for one who departs from Arafah is not to pray Maghrib until he reaches Muzdalifah, where he combines (1) Maghrib and Isha. There is no disagreement on this. Ibn al-Mundhir said: The people of knowledge have reached a consensus, with no disagreement among them, that the Sunnah is for the pilgrim to combine Maghrib and Isha. The basis for this is that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) combined them. This was narrated by Jabir, Ibn Umar, Usamah, Abu Ayyub (2), and others, and their hadiths are authentic. He performs an iqamah for each prayer;
