Ahmad says: She should trim a fingertip's length from every lock of hair. This is the view of Ibn 'Umar, al-Shafi'i, Ishaq, and Abu Thawr. Abu Dawud said: I heard Ahmad being asked about a woman trimming all of her hair? He said: Yes, she should gather her hair to the front of her head, then take a fingertip's length from the ends of her hair. The man who trims in this regard is like the woman, and we have already mentioned the disagreement regarding that in what has passed.
652 - Issue; He said: (Then he visits the House, so he performs tawaf around it seven times, and it is the obligatory tawaf with which the Hajj is completed, then he prays two rak'ahs, if he is a Mufrid or a Qarin)
The summary of this is that when he has thrown the pebbles, offered the sacrifice, and shaved, he should proceed (afada) to Makkah and perform the Tawaf al-Ziyarah (Tawaf of Visitation). It is named Tawaf al-Ziyarah because he comes from Mina and visits the House, yet does not reside in Makkah, but rather returns to Mina. It is also called Tawaf al-Ifadah because he performs it upon his proceeding (ifadah) from Mina to Makkah, and it is a pillar (rukn) of the Hajj, which is not completed without it. We are not aware of any disagreement regarding this. This is because Allah the Almighty said: "And let them perform tawaf around the Ancient House" (2). Ibn 'Abd al-Barr said: It is among the obligatory rites of Hajj, there is no disagreement among the scholars regarding that, and regarding it, all of them cite the statement of Allah the Exalted: "And let them perform tawaf around the Ancient House". From 'Aisha, who said: We performed Hajj with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and we proceeded (afadna) on the Day of Sacrifice. Then Safiyyah menstruated, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) desired from her what a man desires from his wife. So I said: O Messenger of Allah, she is menstruating. He said: "Is she going to detain us?" They said: O Messenger of Allah, she has already proceeded (afadat) on the Day of Sacrifice. He said: "Depart." Recorded by both (3). This indicates that
