Muslim. (13) Sa'y (the ritual walking between al-Safa and al-Marwa) can only be performed after a tawaf. Therefore, if one performed sa'y along with the Tawaf al-Qudum, one does not perform it again afterwards; and if one did not perform it with that, one performs it with the Tawaf al-Ziyarah.
Section: It is recommended that one enters the House (the Ka'bah), performs takbir in its corners, prays two rak'ahs inside it, and calls upon Allah, the Almighty and Exalted. Ibn 'Umar said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the House along with Bilal and Usama ibn Zayd. I said to Bilal: Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pray inside it? He said: Yes. I said: Where? He said: Between the two columns, facing him. He said: And I forgot to ask him how many he prayed. Ibn 'Abbas said: Usama informed me that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the House, he prayed in all of its corners and did not pray inside it until he exited. Both (reports) are agreed upon. (16) Scholars have prioritized the narration of Bilal over that of Usama because he is affirming (that he saw the prayer), while Usama is negating, and because Usama was young in age, so it is possible he was occupied by looking at what was inside the Ka'bah and thus missed seeing the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
