and fifty. If the daughter acknowledges her, she has fifteen shares from the base of the acknowledgement, and there is a quarter in her hand, which is eighteen, so three remain in her hand, which she pays to the acknowledged person. If the son acknowledges a wife of his father—who is the mother of the second deceased—the case of acknowledgement is from ninety-six; he has fifty-six of it, and there are three-quarters in his hand, so sixteen shares remain with him, which he pays to the acknowledged person. He then has fifty-six, she has sixteen, and the daughter has twenty-four. It returns by reduction to twelve because their shares all coincide with eighths; thus, the acknowledger has seven, the acknowledged woman has two, and the daughter has three. According to the school of Abu Hanifa, the shares of the acknowledged woman, which are nineteen, are added to the shares of the acknowledger, totaling seventy-five, and the three-quarters [of the estate] is divided by them. Since they coincide with thirds, the shares return to their third, which is twenty-five; you multiply them by four, becoming one hundred. The daughter has a share in twenty-five, the woman has nineteen in one, and the acknowledger has fifty-six. Whatever comes from this chapter follows this method.
Two parents and two daughters distributed the inheritance, then they acknowledged a daughter of the deceased, and she said: "I have received my share of my father's estate." The base of the inheritance in the case of acknowledgement is eighteen; the parents have six, and each daughter has four. Subtract from it the share of the acknowledged daughter, and fourteen remains. The parents have six of it; they only took a third of the fourteen, which is four shares and two-thirds of a share. There remains for them in the hands of the two daughters one share and a third, which they take from them. Multiply three by fourteen, which is forty-two; the parents have taken fourteen, and they are entitled to eighteen, so four remain for them, which they take from them, and twenty-four remain for the two daughters. If she said: "I have received half of my share," then subtract two shares from eighteen, and sixteen remains. They have taken a third of it—five and a third—and two-thirds of a share remain for them. When you multiply it by three, it becomes forty-eight; they have taken sixteen from it, and two shares remain for them.
