In the narration of al-Athram regarding a man (93) who takes a young girl, places her in his lap, and kisses her: if he feels desire, then he should not, but if it is without desire, then there is no harm. Abu Bakr narrated with his chain of transmission from Umar ibn Hafs al-Madani that al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam sent a daughter of his to Umar ibn al-Khattab with a female attendant, so Umar took her by the hand and said, "The daughter of Abu Abd Allah." The bells on her legs (95) moved. Umar took them and cut them off and said, "The Messenger of Allah - peace and blessings of Allah be upon him - said: 'With every bell is a devil' (96)." As for when she reaches an age in which she is fit for marriage (97), such as a nine-year-old, her 'awrah (intimate part) differs from the 'awrah of an adult woman, based on the evidence of his saying - peace and blessings of Allah be upon him -: "Allah does not accept the prayer of a menstruating woman except with a khimar (head covering)" (98). This indicates (99) that the prayer is valid for one who has not yet menstruated even if her head is uncovered. Thus, it is possible that her ruling is the same as that of the unmarriageable kin (dhu mahram), like our statement regarding the adolescent boy among women. Abu Bakr narrated from Ibn Jurayj who said: Aishah said: "My niece, Muzaynah, entered upon me, and the Prophet - peace and blessings of Allah be upon him - entered upon me, so he turned away. I said: O Messenger of Allah, she is my niece and a young girl. He replied: 'When a woman reaches puberty (100), it is not permissible for her (101) to show anything except her face and this' — and he grasped his own forearm, leaving between his grasp and the palm [a space] equal to another grasp or similar to it (104)."
