Section: If he marries a Jewish woman and a Magian woman, or a lawful woman and a prohibited woman in a single contract, it is invalid regarding the Magian and the prohibited woman, while there are two faces regarding the other. If he marries four free women and a slave woman, it is invalid regarding the slave woman, and there are two faces regarding the free women. If a slave marries two free women and a slave woman, the marriage of all of them is void. If he marries a woman and her daughter, it is invalid regarding both, because gathering them is prohibited, so it is not valid for either of them, just as in the case of two sisters.
1153- Issue: He said: "And if he buys two sisters, and has relations with one of them, he shall not have relations with the other until the first is prohibited [to him] by a sale, marriage, gift, or similar, and he knows that she is not pregnant. If she returns to his ownership, he shall not have relations with either of them until the first is prohibited to him."
The discussion on this issue is in six sections:
Section One: It is permissible to combine two sisters in ownership without disagreement among the scholars. The same applies to [combining] her with her paternal aunt or maternal aunt. If he buys a slave girl and has intercourse with her, it is permissible for him to buy her sister, her paternal aunt, and her maternal aunt, because ownership is intended for acquisition of property, not for enjoyment. Likewise, it is permissible for him to buy a Magian woman, an idolater, a woman in a waiting period, a married woman, and those prohibited to him by fosterage and affinity.
Section Two: It is not permissible to combine two sisters from among his slave girls in intercourse. Ahmad stated this in the narration of the group. Umar, Uthman, Ali, Ammar, Ibn Umar, and Ibn [Mas'ud] disliked it.
